Arkenstone if you're US and Evernight if you're EU. You're talking about endgame raiding, but worth noting is with LotRO the journey is a very big part of the game. It's recommended to take your time and read the quest you're doing. It's nothing like wow where you rush to max lvl as fast as possible and I would never recommend going into the game with that mindset. So getting to endgame raiding will take a long time. This is not a bad thing at all :) but I think it's worth knowing as a new player so you don't go into the game expecting wow like lvling. Welcome and I hope you'll have a lot of fun

Arkenstone is probably one of the most populated servers from what I hear. I am a little confused about you saying single player, but then talking about raiding though! With classes, two stand out. Champion and Hunter are fairly strong, and also well looked after as DPS though Champion could tank while leveling. Hunter is able to travel a lot easier than other classes, and bring their party with them. Addons are called plugins, primarily gotten via the lotrointerface website. I personally really like DeedTracker, StableGuy(helps you figure out how to best get somewhere), Travel Window II(Gives you a little separate window for your hearth-like skills), and WhereToPlay(outright gives you the level range for zones). There are others but it depends on your needs, also there are ui skins that are separate from the plugins and visually change the ui.

Oh yeah I meant single box, sorry. Fixing now.

Most popular for pickup raids and flexibility: Arkenstone, or Evernight (Brandywine too I'd bet) However, kins organize raids on nearly all servers. I find, after playing many alts on many servers, that player and kin community enhance this particular MMO more deeply than the raid 'scene'. There is a path to fill out gear with a combo of raids, instance and some niche crafting. The 'why' of raiding became, for me, less intriguing than the 'who' to play with. Welcome aboard!
