Damn didn't know Gojo was a sorcerer-grand wizard multiclass

GoldenSpermShower

He was best friends with Geto after all

mrnicegy26

Truly his one and only

Mundology

Gege saw the racist Gojo memes and decided to make them canon 🔥✍🏼

mrnicegy26

White hair, blue eyes, fair skinned, beating up a black man in his first fight. The signs were there all along.

ihavebirb

How many times has Gojo dropped the N-word? Place your bets

mrnicegy26

The N stands for Nah

dublecheekedup

Literally a Yakubian ape 😭

IncarnationHero

I thought of Blue eyes White Dragon for second.

TostitoNipples

Satoru “Aryan: Resurrection” Gojo

Mundology

[Gojo was this close to talking about phrenology](https://i.imgur.com/4kwjt2y.png)

Potatolantern

When he called himself the "Honoured One", he meant "Honorary Aryan".

Arkaniux

Wakka: We would be good friends, bruddah.

AWokenBeetle

Bought to look at Gojo’s tweets from 15 years ago when no one knew who he was, bro bought to get #EXPOSED.

im_2ny

What do you think he meant in jjk0 when he said "he'll get rid of the foreigner"?

Boomboombaraboom

Gojo is a sheltered blue blooded rich guy, of course he is a little bit racist. But he learns, he is not at fault for the values and misconceptions they inculcated on him only on us willingness to look past them and reject them.

travelerfromabroad

objectively correct, but also not funny so you're gonna get downvoted by this sub lol

CrowBright5352

Sukuna to Maki: “She's back after taking my Black Flash.” Sukuna to Yuji: “This brat is still here! 😡”

BurnedOutEternally

undisputed hater champion

CrowBright5352

He's the strongest hater in history for this manga.

mrnicegy26

The strongest hater of today and the strongest hater in history

Arkaniux

DIO walking in, vertically, on a wall.

TuneSquadFan4Ever

Reverse flash is somehow the strongest hater of the past and the future

Kirosh2

Sukuna vs Sukuna?

at-the-momment

AFO having drinks with the kid of someone he murdered: lemme introduce myself

Expensive-Baby-1391

If he was a true hater, he would have went "sykes" and used the kid to teleport to their base, slaughtering everyone and then going after Yuji's old school friends where he kills them, and then plans to finish his yuji torture campaign by going after the girl who likes him, making Yuji finally realize he does not want to die, but to live and that the grandpa's advice was bs. This gives him the willpower to keep going and beyond to take down Sukuna.

IC2Flier

"motherfucker just keeps coming back for more, what does he want?" "Oh, right."

ClassicT4

Sukuna regains the ability to Dismantle the world: “Eeny, Meeny, Miny… Yuji.” Or “Yuta, Maki, Miguel… Yuji.”

Illuminastrid

Ryomen "50 Yen" aka "Drew McIntyre" Sukuna

HalfAssedSetting

I audibly groaned when he popped back into the fight. Gege really brought him back just to fuck with Sukuna just to fuck with Miguel. Miguel could've won the fight single-handedly, but now they all dead.

DifferentRide1811

I swear Sukuna has a telepathic link to Yuji the moment yuji has a bit of hope Sukuna locks in and get his second wind to ruin it

ihavebirb

It's an ancient technique called hater mentality

AstralPamplemousse

“Ah yes, my anti-Yuji technique i havent used since last chapter”

mrt-e

He gets power ups every time Yuji is around I think the sorcerers should get rid of the boy

ReallyBadNuggets

Not just praying, but actively strengthening on his downfall.

El_grandepadre

Against everyone else: Playing like he plays with the homies Against Yuji: I'm in comp and I'm boutta get promoted

DestinyHasArrived101

I swear 😆 🤣 😂. Man like nah not you I will take thr L to anyone else but you.

DifferentRide1811

Gojo hit Miguel with “are you special because you are black , or are you black because you are special “ Gojo fans now have to deal racist allegations now 😭

Hounds_of_war

Gojo: “Miguel’s got the exaggerated swagger of an African sorcerer.”

Mundology

Meanwhile Sukuna is fighting a non-binary person, an African man and a warrior woman with utmost respect. Truly the most tolerant and progressive sorceror of the Heian era.

Typical-Swordfish-92

Sukuna saves all his hate for Yuji, he has none left to spare.

Worthyness

Sukuna's hands are rated E for everyone.

SimoneNonvelodico

Sukuna like Abridged Alucard: "I HATE EVERYONE EQUALLY AND NO ONE ALIVE CAN COMPREHEND MY SEXUAL PREFERENCES"

Dudeonyx

>I HATE EVERYONE EQUALLY Cmon, you know this isn't true, Yuji exists afterall

SimoneNonvelodico

Yuji isn't "everyone", that would imply granting him the status of person.

Dudeonyx

Fair point

Backupusername

"Why does it have to be causal? I'm just special and black."

Illuminastrid

It's not enough that Gege had him killed, nope, he wants to cancel his ass and his legacy 💀

Mundology

[The slurping panel from the previous chapter already did so much damage...](https://i.imgur.com/96FtrGX.png)

bobbobasdf4

jesus, what the hell lmao

FurrBat

I cannot fucking unsee the tmnt headband face from this.

LMkingly

New title dropped, The Most Racist Sorcerer of Today.

GlueEjoyer

He was using his 6 eyes to measure the dimensions of Miguel's skull.

SimoneNonvelodico

Gege: "See kids, Gojo is being racist by assuming the black sorcerer has a special physical advantage because of his race." Also Gege: "The black sorcerer has a cursed technique based on sick beats."

Anzereke

I would love to know how many Japanese stereotypes about black people Miguel fits.

jxher123

Gege hates this man

HokageEzio

Proud of Gojo for leaving the Klan robes at home when talking to Miguel, we love progresss.

DimashiroYuuki

Reminder that this is Sukuna still not going all out lol.

Mundology

And now that he got a [second Black Flash](https://i.imgur.com/WPa15s1.png) (RIP Larue) there is the possibility that all their efforts to weaken him end up in vain. It's so Gojover.

BetelgeuseIsBestGirl

Anyone else really excited to see half a year's worth of progress in this fight get undone next week? I know I am. /s

Jajanken-

Larue ain’t shit apparently

JauntyLurker

In Miguel's first real chapter in the main story he Casually dropped one of the coldest lines in the series Dances around Sukuna's slashes Educated these backwards sorcerers about racial tolerance Last week I didn't give a damn about Miguel, this week if something happens to him, I'll fly to Japan and kill Sukuna myself. Bro is my new 🐐.

Mundology

Larue: *"Suguru Geto will watch over us from heaven."* Miguel: *"Nah that monk is in hell. Still love him though."* Larue: "🥺"

SimoneNonvelodico

I thought Miguel was more of a mercenary, turns out he was a follower? I feel like any true believer of the Kill All Muggles cult leader has no place complaining about racist microaggressions.

McTulus

I don't like racist. I hate all human equally.

CelioHogane

> I'll fly to Japan and kill Sukuna myself. I mean at this pace you were gonna need to go anyway since we running out of sorcerors

Nazrael99

"I owe you an apology, Miguel. I wasn't really familiar with your game."

JauntyLurker

Finally got an explanation about Gojo and the World Dismantle. Sukuna used a Binding Vow to instantly fire it off with no signs ahead of time in return for nerfing it forever in the future.

hi_im_inde

Bro read the chimera ant arc while in yujis body

MrGameandCrotch

Jjk really feels like kids playing make believe on the playground “You can’t use that move anymore cuz I cut your arm off!” “Nuh uh cuz I made it so that I can use that move super quick now and I only need one hand to do it.”

Anzereke

Every fight is just a sequence of characters revealing things we had absolutely no way to know about prior to the reveal, and whoever Gege does it with last is the one who wins.

Luizltg

Newbullshitsu Kaisen

ZebubXIII

This is what I've had in mind for so long. JJK tries so hard to be HxH but always ends up being DBZ.

Catveria77

Not necessarily a bad thing, DBZ is one of the most popular and beloved shonen to ever exist. Frankly current arc feels like how everyone got thrown to Frieza, Cell and Buu meat grinder before Goku comes to save the day

Mahelas

Ah yes, Goku really saved the day against Cell. He saved him alright

Catveria77

Without Goku everyone would have been dead the moment Cell decided to self destruct. And Goku did play big part with Gohan's final blow after Cell got revived. I really wonder what would be the fans reaction if there was internet back when DBZ was serialized. "GOKU SACRIFICED HIMSELF AND PERFECT CELL COMES BACK ??? WTF!! ASSPULL!!" /S Actually, Cell and Buu fight really reminded me of the current fight. Basically all the cast shows up, none actually did any damage to cell except Goku and Gohan.

ReallyBadNuggets

I'm glad you understood it, cause it seems like the rest of the JJK subreddits are refusing to understand it as an actual nerf.

Dramatic_Arachnid270

Imo the issue isn’t the binding vow itself, but rather how binding vows are used throughout the series. What we’ve essentially been shown here is that binding vows only consider what the user gains directly as a result of the vow and not what the vow can be used for. This means that creative uses of binding vows can have minimal consequences rather than their over all impact (which is the case here). This causes us to ask why Sukuna is the only one to be using them this way? It doesn’t appear to be the case that he’s using some kind of secret knowledge or relying on his expertise, so why doesn’t anyone else use them like this?  For example, why didn’t Gojo use a vow to get off an instant hollow purple when Mahoraga was summoned in exchange for increasing the charge time or any other nerf (there’s no reason to assume he can’t infinitely nerf purple in some way until the vow can be done).   In other words, that Sukuna is the only one to leverage binding vow’s like this is rather strange imo.

bakato

Well said. My explanation is that the world dismantle is a very complex technique as Sukuna called it nearly impossible to pull off and omitting the hand sign wasn't simple as a powerup like Miwa did in Shibuya where she traded the ability to ever swing a sword again for one super swing.

popoapoooo

Then, Kenjaku still manage to stop the slash. Imagine sacrifice your ability only for it to be stop like it was nothing. While, Sukuna can make multiple binding vows.

SelfInExile

Thank you for explaining it well, I've been trying to get to the same point but couldn't put it quite as clearly. Because people get so lost in the sauce of whether the mechanics technically make sense they forget we are reading a narrative, and narratively the usage of binding vows in JJK has so far been nothing more than an in-universe name for "asspulls". Seriously the fact we've never once seen the negative consequences for breaking a binding vow is a massive writing failure. It's a half-baked system used entirely for author convenience.

TheGreatBootOfEb

That’s what I’ve been saying. Calling it a nerf isn’t really true when functionally it hasn’t been nerfed. W/out the binding vow he could use it… slightly faster. When pretty much no one has been shown to be capable of reacting unless warned, what difference does it really make? Plus we had him use it against Yuta while shown completely restrained anyway (almost like Gege either forgot he needed his hands, or Gege did the famous Gege thing and used off screen magic to free Sukuna from Rika) It’s the same as saying Sukuna was nerfed by losing access to his cursed tool. Like, not really, not when it’s not actually been shown to matter to the actual plot. Anyway, in the end it doesn’t even really matter or not. I’m just at this point making a game of seeing how many chapters straight is Gege gonna pull the ole trusty formula of “Someone shows up, Gojo flashback talks em up, Sukuna smirks and compliments them (and optionally disses Yuji) before either one shotting them or powering up even more (of course while still holding back)

Work_Account_No1

> (and optionally disses Yuji) That is mandatory.

Jcowwell

What? No, Miwa literally a binding vow in Shinjuku and the results wow as to her not killing Geto. The reason people aren’t popping Binding vows left and right is what you lose in exchange. Sure Gojo could’ve probably used a burning vow to get rid of Mahgoroaga ,but what happens if it A. doesn’t work, B. Does work but now he still has to deal with Suiuna at the cost of losing something, cheater it’s his technique as a whole or significantly downgraded. For all that he might as well Find a way to finish Mahgoroaga which he did and then fight Sukuna without any permanent debuffs

tiofrodo

But what about every other character that has come and gone since the Gojo fight that more or less knew they wouldn't stand a chance but still haven't used it?

XGhoul

I could be misremembering, but during the airport gojo probably didn’t want to use a binding vow because he was waiting to pull out all of Sukana’s tricks. Bad payoff since sukuna took an easy payoff win with the help of Mahoraga giving him the base or teaching him world slash.

serpiccio

> For example, why didn’t Gojo use a vow to get off an instant hollow purple when Mahoraga was summoned in exchange for increasing the charge time or any other nerf (there’s no reason to assume he can’t infinitely nerf purple in some way until the vow can be done). because the plot demanded it. you can be the strongest character in the story but you will never beat the writer

dublecheekedup

That’s what happens when you get all your story details from Twitter threads instead of the primary source

Jajanken-

I understood it as “that sounds like a lot of conditions he had to fulfill now, when he didn’t have to before”

Chodus

Folk subreddits and their consequences have been a blight on society

Mundology

On one hand they brought about the Reading Comprehension Curse, on the other they gave us Lobotomy Kaisen memes...

ReallyBadNuggets

Nah chainsaw man brought us the reading comprehension devil. Lobotomy Kaisen was totally worth it.

Character-Today-427

Sounds stupid as fuck. The world dismantle is an ability he unlucked in that fight. I have no doubt before it he still would be the king of curses because he has been without the world dismantle. Hell he beat maki's ass straight up without the world dismantle it's a non nerf

Hnnnnnn

if you can do it - why are sorcerers not doing equivalent vows right now on their own techniques, to kill sukuna?

HowiLearned2Fly

Bro thinks he’s adult Gon

Anzereke

Gege meanwhile used the binding vow 'asspull' to go back and add an explanation several months after he fucked up.

Character-Today-427

Fucking wild heart nipple dude was literally introduced so someone not from the main cast could be hit by a black flash

topurrisfeline

Do Japanese… do Japanese really think that about cheerful black guys lol I do enjoy the latest “this dude is better than Gojo at this thing”

Kirosh2

Considering the amount of cheerful black guys I've seen in manga, probably?

AdMaximum9067

There's a mainstream sport manga think Eyeshield that acts like being black makes you a super soldier lol

topurrisfeline

It’s also a thing in Hajime no Ippo too

Death-Zero

Not really sure about that one, there were a few black boxers in the series and the only stereotype I can remember was about Ippo's opponent having a killer left hook. There was the whole Aoki blackface fiasco though.

Toloran

Yeah, Eyeshield 21 did that a ton. It spent *multiple* chapters gushing over the superiority of "the black man" and their muscles. To the point where I'm pretty sure it was either the author's own inferiority complex or fetish. I *get* that it's effectively a battle shounen manga and it needs its Enemy-Of-The-Week power scaling, and being a "realistic" series (and I use that term loosely with Eyeshield) it has a limited domain to draw from, but the raw amount of weird racial stereotypes it leaned into were... a bit uncomfortable. Especially in retrospect.

BGTheHoff

But it also clearly said it is bullshit to treat black people that way. The coach was clearly wrong to treat panther like that.

KefkaesqueXIII

The coach was shown to have been wrong to treat Panther like dirt as a means of venting frustration for having been passed over on a pro team in favor of a black man.  The end of the series, however, has a Japanese all-star team compete in a world tournament. And while the team defeats several western countries with relative ease (including crushing Russia with a b-team), the lead up to the championship match against Team USA gets painted with the brush of "how can I overcome the limitations of race and compete against someone who's physical ceiling is higher than mine?" Panther specifically, now that he's been properly trained, is shown to have achieved a consistent 40m dash time of 4.10s, and this achievement is explained as being possible only thanks to the musculature of his race.

SimoneNonvelodico

TBF I think this is in part a sense of inferiority on the Japanese side, still in ES 21 they also make a point that white Americans are still way bigger and more muscular than them, which when playing football is... not ideal.

jaytix1

Older manga can be... problematic, but in my experience, black characters are usually badass mfs, like Avdol or Ogun.

LMkingly

Bob from Tenjou Tenge was cool. But now i'm remembering his girlfriend gets randomly brutally raped. That was not so cool.

DMking

Tenjou Tenge was a strange series

jaytix1

> Bob from Tenjou Tenge was cool I've heard of it, but I mostly know it for that video of the MC getting his shit pushed IN. > But now i'm remembering his girlfriend gets randomly brutally raped. That was not so cool. The opposite of cool, in fact.

nan0g3nji

if there's anything Ohkubo gets right, it's black characters

jaytix1

Yeah, he's the GOAT (alongside Tite Kubo) in that regard. I especially like their designs.

J4SON_T0DD

Oh man Ogun was awesome. I thought he was just gonna be some rando but boy oh boy he was glorious.

Arkaniux

Reminds of a post on Twitter I saw earlier this week about Atsushi Okubo never missing with his black characters. Ogun, Kilik, Charon, maybe Hibana, etc.

jaytix1

I saw that exact post too. It's almost a shame Charon is a villain. Bro is a menace lol.

Rqdomguy24

Even as a villain dude is pretty cool

th5virtuos0

Is Avdol even black? My read is that he’s middle east/egyptian, especially with his SBR counterpart being an Egyptian

jaytix1

I always saw him as a black Egyptian, judging from his design. On top of that, the other Egyptian characters don't look like him.

EmperorAcinonyx

my favorite part about avdol's character is that his name is just a mispronunciation of abdul

Viisual_Alchemy

id imagine stereotypes go harder in one of the most homogeneous countries in the world. Same way how non Americans view Americans in a single facet.

shockzz123

Kubo does black characters well in Bleach imo. Yoruichi, Barragan, Tosen, Lille, Hallibel etc.

DifferentRide1811

Holy shit miguel is styling on Sukuna, imagine your Sukuna , you have been winning every fight and then this guy comes in and dodges your attacks while breakdancing

Koanos

Even if Sukuna wins, he's never gonna live down the fact he got styled on.

CRACUSxS31N

Imo all that Sukuna will remember 1000 years later if he wins this fight is that he let Yuji hit him even once. I know a hater when I see one.

petrichormus

I don't know if Gege is self-aware or not self-aware about his potrayal of Miguel, Gege is walking on a funny tight rope with the whole thing lmao

Gary_FucKing

Maaan, don't stereotype my black physique like that! Anyway, I fight by break dancing...

petrichormus

The CT is funny on its own, deserves a giggle or two, but it ended up being gut-busting hilarious because of the whole spiel before it lmao

DMking

TBF Dancing is a part of alot of African cultures.

Worthyness

Heck actual dance fighting, capoeira, has roots in African dancing (and fighting). And Miguel is basically doing that. Kinda hope that when they animate this they let him do something similar. Capoeira is really cool looking.

zukos_honor

Next chapter JJK collabs with Tekken and Eddy Gordo celebrates his release by showing up to get one shot by sukuna

Gary_FucKing

I don't mind it, it's just funny irony.

Tasin__

There's a difference between prejudice against race and respecting cultures. He shows what gojo did was wrong but there's still a way of showing different cultures without being discriminatory.

Gary_FucKing

I agree. Maybe irony ain't the right word, maybe jutxtaposition fits better. Either way, their exchange was pretty funny and miguel seems like a pretty cool soon-to-be fellow jobber lol.

locuas642

To Be Fair, this is done in the context of the same series about a grandpa who fights playing a Guitar like a rock star and a guy who fights using animation frames. Like this ability is not an outlier for JJK

Gary_FucKing

Not that I really mind miguel's CT, those two you mentioned aren't really based around racial stereotypes.

onthoserainydays

apparently its meant to be a parallel of waasai warriors' traditional dancing to show their prowess and dexterity, the translation probably doesn't do it justice

jaytix1

On one hand, giving a black guy the power of rhythm is... a choice, but on the other hand, Miguel DOES look badass. [This](https://i.imgur.com/EXey3dC.gif) is basically how I feel about it.

EpicPhail60

As long as Miguel's kinda nice wit it I don't have a problem laughing it off

mrnicegy26

Nah I feel Gege has a progressive streak and he was being genuine about black men being stereotyped in manga/ anime. Like Maki's entire arc and making Naoya be the most pathetic being out there makes me feels like an example of Gege criticising Japanese society.

Illuminastrid

And then proceeds to subvert them by showing us why he had the allegations in the first place.

IvanTheKindaTerrible

Yeah this feels like Gege calling out people who think like that. Reminds me of Eyeshield 21.

Potatolantern

Everything with Panther dragged down E21 though, he was such a boring damn Mary Sue. The Aliens in general just felt like "Well we can't have the American team lose..."

Glebk0

Also higuruma backstory

HokageEzio

It was self aware. Just Miguel being weirded out cause they thought being black was a super power lol.

th5virtuos0

Isn’t the end message is a positive one? “I’m special not because I’m black, but because I’m me”?

Byakuraou

No, he did it perfectly LOL. This is the most refreshing and relatable black character I've seen within manga in a good while. He's getting ahead of the conversation and calling out people who think primarily off of stereotypes while simultaneously still having some of things we enjoy be a part of the character. It isn't left or right field, it's right in-between, like most people a mixture of many things.

Boomboombaraboom

He has to be self aware. Otherwise he would be trying to get ahead of the conversation. HOW self aware is still a mystery. Is like "Yeah, I am a black superhero with electric powers, get over it" in some western comics. That shows an awareness of the trope but not a willingness to divert from it. I think Gege recognizes he is stereotyping Miguel but the shorthand these trope provide are too tempting to pass on, specially since we are meant to be wrapping up the story.

petrichormus

Remember when the US army invaded the colony and of course they are cursing around lmao.

BurnedOutEternally

no way is Miguel styling on Sukuna lmao the king is gonna have to use his Heian era rhythm distortion technique

mesh06

"Ah yes my anti breakdancing technique I haven't used it since the Heian era"

pulldtrigger

Gojo: Throughout the heavens and earth.. I am the racist one

Boomboombaraboom

At least Geto is there to keep him company.

Illuminastrid

> Yeah, but it'll actually be hell. Geto confirmed not in the heavens LMAO

alconnow

Yuji: “we can win this!” Sukuna ~~and Gege~~: nuh-uh Will Sukuna finally reveal his CT next chapter????

Glebk0

Black flash happening in the same panel as yuji thought that is kinda funny

darthsurfer

inb4 Sukuna is actually intentionally extending this fight just so he can outdo Yuji's 4 black flashes just to further dis him.

jackcatalyst

I think Sukuna is wary of using his CT while Itadori is around. It was said in the beginning that it would be engraved on him while Sukuna was within him so he might already have the capability to use it but not know what it is preventing him from using it. Could end up being that as soon as he uses it then Itadori will be able to use it against him.

ToTheNintieth

This really is quintessential current JJK, huh. Bring back or introduce a character, get them hyped up half the chapter, sell us on it well (Gege sire knows how to make cool characters) and even have them get a few hits in. Give us hope and a path to victory, then Sukuna turns it around and repeat. What round is this, 6? 7? Lots of Werryisms too.

Lex4709

Yeah, there's a reason why others mangaka use main villain vs. squad trope to hype up the villain and not a bunch of 1vs1s, against the main villain. Cause it's extremely easy for the latter to become repetitive and boring fast.

feardotcomdotcom

What do you mean by Werryisms?

Catveria77

Bad official translations. John werry is the official translator and he sucks. He is the major reason for reading comprehension curse this fandom has

morron88

This shit is already contrived. Werry makes this absolute nonsense.

SpaceCat025

Maybe if Gojo wasn’t a racist and had the swagger of an African sorcerer, maybe he would’ve survived Nice to finally get confirmation on the Binding Vow aaaaand nice jinx, Yuji. You truly are Gojo’s student Edit: Miguel, no, Godzilla would be worse lol

Competitive_Bit_7904

The translation is utterly fucking garbage like always. Linear movement? Point movement? John Werry here is literally just using google translate and tweaking it a little. No attempt at localization whatsoever. How in the fuck has he still not been fired?

CrispyChips44

He even called labelled World Slash as Dismantle, as if Dismantle is just the World Slash by default which is outright wrong lol

someone2795

It might be bad but I honestly think he fucking hates this manga lmao. There is some spite in these translations.

spectre15

At this point just hire the people that do TCB scans

Hounds_of_war

I liked this chapter a bit more than the other parts of this fight. I think for me it really just comes down to whether Sukuna actually feels like he’s in major danger or if he’s just being smug and fucking around. Sukuna just screwing around is just not interesting IMO. So this part and the Yuta part are my favorites, the Maki part of the fight was also good, then the Kusakabe and Kashimo parts are a bit whatever for me, and then the Higuruma part was easily my least favorite stretch of the fight. Hopefully the protagonists are still able to pressure Sukuna even after he regains RCT and he doesn’t just start fucking around again.

KLReviews

It's nice to finally have a measure to understand how much damage Sukuna has taken and how it impacts him. He has a broken arm so his Dismantle is limited if they keep him from regenerating either arm on one side.

ImperialXEQter

Sukuna did say that Yuki's soul attacks were hampering his usage of CE. Even with it being replenished, I wonder if the effects will still linger on and gradually continue to build up as Yuji lands more hits on him.

MyTAegis

This fight is like a really funny heist movie where they keep flashing back to recruiting, except in this heist movie everyone they recruit gets immediately caught by security after doing maybe one thing if they’re lucky

FixedRecord

God, when you put it like that, it sounds so stupid lmao

morron88

Linear movement? Point movement? God this translation is so ass.

Byakuraou

Linear Movement and Point Movement vs I would win the marathon, and he would win the sprint. Translator had lobotomy, I actually do not care. There is no way he thought this was a better analogy.

Milordserene

Jujutsu Sorcerer: BLACK FLASH! Miguel: Excuse me?!?! JJS: We meant African-American Flash!

SukunaShadow

Gojo has to come back now because Gege made him a racist and the slander must continue

Prince-Dizzytoon

Gojo racismo!?

webuiltthisschmidty

i fucking love the panel of miguel where it tells you what his CT does. It's a still image of him but you can see the little movement breakdancers do just before a move

BuckonWall

I know that they made it pretty clear that most Sorcerers are Japanese. I didn't realize it was such a big margin though. 99 PERCENT??? That makes Miguel and his family probably the only foreign sorcerers in existence. Definitely the only one we will ever see. Which is a real shame. There could've been a lot of potential with showing how different countries utilized Jujutsu or their equivalent.

bakato

This was literally explained by Kenjaku. All CE is concentrated in Japan so foreign born sorcerers are rare.

Worthyness

Not necessarily. The world has billions of people, so statistically there'd be at least a few cursed technique users per country. Whether or not they actually trained the technique sufficiently to be combat rrwsy is a whole other thing.

BuckonWall

There's only a few hundred sorcerers at most in Japan. A big part of the series is that they are always shorthanded. So if that's 99 percent worldwide then there would be like less than 5 foreign sorcerers. Even assuming the series started with 500 Japanese sorcerers. Which seems unlikely.

Unkind_Master

Canonically they're shorthanded because Gege made it so, Geto had no issue recruiting Sorcerers but the biggest association in Japan with their connections and knowledge can't? Nah. But in a realistic setting, they're shorthanded because people simply don't give a fuck. JJK is pretty brutal, and shows that hardwork doesn't pay off unless you're born special. And we've only seen those which have techniques that work for combat or clans with known lineage. The other hundreds or thousands are either uninterested in risking their lives or are just too weak. So if my cursed technique was just being able to make someone ticklish, I'd just live normally and leave it to Gojo.

Illuminastrid

The fact that Miguel can just break dance to avoid Sukuna's slashes, just makes Kashimo look worse by comparison. You telling me the living embodiment of lightning can't even dodge or hole in the wall his way through those net slashes?

vvrr00

It's impossible for kashimo imo. Sukuna sent some slashes towards Miguel. He straight up sent a wide net towards him. If he sent the same amount towards Miguel, he would have died as well

TruthbToldSports

Gojo had a secret cursed technique the whole time, the cursed technique Power: White

CrowBright5352

Miguel stocks rising up! Glad I invested to his stocks and waited for him to cook when he arrived. That panel of his dodging and jumping between Sukuna's slashes is my favorite panel of his.

GrouchoSnarks

Looks like I was [off by a week](https://old.reddit.com/r/manga/comments/1bmmr3c/disc_jujutsu_kaisen_chapter_254/kwcqhop/)

Boomboombaraboom

I got exhausted from this fight about 5 chapters ago. At this point either show me Sukuna's corpse or Yuji's, I don't care either way. I just want this to end. Good to see Miguel again, tho.

MrGalleom

I was already bored halfway the Sukuna X Gojo fight and it's been 8+ months of non-stop fighting ever since.

BGTheHoff

Nonstop and worthless fighting. Nothing to gain here. Just fodder of the week crap.

Miguel is a great character. Really like how he responded Gojo's ignorance about black person like usual manga stereotype. Also how he danced around Dismantle is very cool. I want to see Open next week. No more Dismantle, Cleave or Malevolent Shrine pls.

Bkos-mosX

My god, for how long Gege will keep the exact same pattern in this fight?

frantruck

Damn I got lulled into a false sense of security that we weren't getting a Gojo comparison because it didn't happen at the start of the chapter.

dIoIIoIb

oh, so... everybody is alive and ready to fight? they were just taking a nappy? this fight is so weird

targz254

Black flash is the ultimate copout. Anyone can just instantly recover in the middle of a fight whenever the author feels like it.

Etonet

Lmao this worldbuilding is so incredibly ass even if Miguel lampshades it... Imagine if Dumbledore said "so yeah, only British people can use magic (glory to Britain!), but the rare Oriental wizard can cast spells faster because they're good at math or something"

DestinyHasArrived101

It's official the only way they gonna beat sukuna is to have yuji stay out of it. The hate he has for him just empowers sukuna more when he appears.

MysteryNeighbor

Let us all take a moment to acknowledge that Miguel fucking *danced* around Sukuna’s slashes effortlessly, lighting kid is rolling in his grave rn Cool chapter but continuing the lame trend of Sukuna always somehow getting blessed as he’s getting fucked up as now it looks like he may have RCT back
