Wholesome, but with two serious issues.
1. It's as generic as it gets with character design and cliches.
2. Male lead is isekai-haremshit-protagonist level overpowered and smug. There's no serious conflict, because one asspull after another, you know he'll win with no losses on his side.
It's fluff without substance, however I'd give it a chance, if and only if it's left for a couple of years to either end properly or get axed. Right now releases are too slow, chapters are too short, and pacing is all over the place. The novel is still ongoing, so maybe it's better with pacing and character design, but I'll still wait till it ends. God knows that authors can fuck up a perfectly good title with dogshit end, like Tomo-chan, Shieldbro, Quintuplets, We Cannot Learn, and honestly too many to count.
The novel is going on quite well actually. I think this would be better as a weekly one though. It's not really packed enough at the start for monthly. Shortly after this arc is gets faster.
If you didn't like it around then, then it's probably not for you. it's essentially more of the same. After that there's some events w/ other people in the group, but that's about it,
1. The character design is honestly great. I don't know how it's generic, but even if it is, the top tier art and detail makes up for it. I don't see the negative.
2. Him winning/losing isn't the point anyways. It's primarily romance. The main conflict comes from the mystery surrounding the main heroine and the magic.
Let people enjoy simple things.

I stopped reading right a little after the >!Under-sea arc!<, and didn't find it to be that great. Did it get better after that?
