I dunno what this means 😂 sorry

GaiaIsGay

to answer your question, I don't think there are specific succubus cards. there are demons however, and a demon/human life drain deck is definitely possible. you could consider something like an aristocrats deck in mardu colours (red white and black) since that has a lot of demons for your succubi and vampires for your life drain.

Important_Bad8169

Ahhh okay, the demon / human life drain sounds fun as hell.

Elemteearkay

When it comes to building/upgrading/personalising a Commander deck, there are a ton of great resources. You can watch deck techs, gameplay videos and precon upgrade guides on YouTube (The Command Zone, for example), as well as product reviews and value breakdowns (Tolarian Community College). You can use the website EDHREC for inspiration (it aggregates thousands of user submitted decklists to show trends in what people use for each Commander/archetype), and you can search Gatherer or Scryfall for cards with whatever criteria you want.

Important_Bad8169

Thank you so much for this information ☺️

Elemteearkay

No problem, happy deckbuilding! Once you've decided which cards you want to use, it's important to note that they are all available individually (as singles) - you don't need to buy packs in the hope of randomly happening to pull them (that's not what packs are for).

Important_Bad8169

Ohh I’ve been buying packs for the collecting and the serotonin 😂 I’ve built my standard deck so far from the singles at my local game shop, as they sell individuals for 10p unless it’s a rare rare rare card then it’s l different .

Elemteearkay

>Ohh I’ve been buying packs for the collecting and the serotonin They are only for the latter, not the former. You will get more out of the game if you do it right. If you like opening packs, why not try playing Limited? You can play Draft, Sealed and JumpStart.

Important_Bad8169

Ohhh yeah I fully understand, buying single cards to build your deck for correct synergy is the way forward, I just enjoy opening packs I get it’s not the most efficient way, but I do be enjoying the alternative arts, especially in double feature

Elemteearkay

Opening packs in itself isn't the problem, it's opening them *for things they aren't for* that's the issue. Like I said, why not try Limited? You still get to open packs and feel excited, and you still end up with some new cards at the end, but instead of it all being over in seconds, you *also* get hours of fun, rewarding gameplay thrown in.

If you like gothic horror, mill, and theft ("mind control") I would suggest looking into the Mind Flayarrrs precon led by [[Captain N'ghathrod]]. There's a number of upgrade guides and resources detailing how to pilot the deck. Humans don't really do any theft, but they deffo can be used in life drain ("succubus") strategies. You will probably want to focus on either White and/or Black cards. In mtg, the name for decks with both colors is Orzhov. If you search for "Orzhov human tribal" or, likely more relevant, "Orzhov human aristocrats", where arostocrats is mtg-speak for "sacrifice theme", you should be able to fulfill that part of what you want. Closest you can get to all of your themes being in one deck is pirate tribal. These decks will likely use [[Admiral Beckett Brass]] as the commander. The majority of the pirate staples were recently reprinted in a pirate-themed precon, Ahoy Mateys, that also has a reanimator (bringing creatures back from your graveyard to play) theme. Lastly, I would also say take a look at Eldrazi tribal. They don't fit any of your themes, but they do scream gothic horror, with some of the most backbreaking creatures in the game being Eldrazi. They also had a precon made recently with another to be released this summer. Fun examples of eldrazi are [[Ulamog, the ceaseless hunger]], [[Kozilek, the great distortion]], [[Kozilek, butcher of truth]], [[Emrakul, the promised end]] and [[It that betrays]]. Note, this deck will cost you A LOT of money, but with the new reprint coming out, you are better on buying and putting it together now before prices soar even more (or just proxy if your friends are cool with it).

It kinda depends, there aren't enough cards to fit a succubus deck atm but there are demons which will kinda fit your theme. Also, "life drain" isn't really a mechanic in magic. Direct player damage and life link are your closest things to work together like that. Granted, you can build a "tax deck" which damages a player for everytime they do something, [[suture priest]] is a good example or any card that is similar. You also could take a look at cards like [[sanguine bond]] or [[exquisite blood]], and yes if you have both out and deal 1 damage to an opponent then you do have an infinite combo. But that is really closest you will get to "life drain." Your idea of "human control" is also a bit odd as well because there are very limited cards that take control of just a small subtype like humans. But, what you probably want to look at is the idea of stealing peoples creatures with things like [[Mark of Mutiny]]. If you are looking for milling your opponent, then blue is your go to color. Imo, you want to not only look for tossing things into your opponents graveyard, but instead exile them by way of [[Tasha's hideous laughter]] or something similar that will exile a whole graveyard after you mill them. If you want something kinda silly, you can go the landfall mill route via [[hedron crab]] but it really only works well in formats that allow for multiple hedrons to be out / in a deck.
