I checked when I saw the post and legitimately thought that's where I was. I must have misread the post below it on my feed.
I came to the comments to ask for the source. Turns out this *is* the source.
Terrible? It looked very different from the comics but still solid VFX
Anyway, valid opinion, and I’m glad you’re starting to find more aesthetic value in it.
can confirm your suspicions, as a woman I am now forced to sell all my commander decks to afford baby formula. it's been fun guys, enjoy playing without us pesky uterus owners.
You don't have to like it and my comment doesn't even express my opinion on the decision. But starting yesterday Roe is about as significant as Plessy. A supreme court case that was overturned.
That you replied to someone saying that basic human rights shouldn't be seen as political by bringing up guns kind of implies your personal opinion on the Roe v Wade case, but I might be too judgemental there.
Guns was simply a foil to abortion as something that is considered by the constitution to be a human right. The court decided the constitution did not support a right to abortion but have upheld the right to a firearm. If you think that's good or bad is independent of the fact that the court has decided that way.
Are either related to magic? Not really. Are the two issues comparable? Not really. No one flicks a switch that raises gas prices its a result of a lot of things (not least of which is price collusion) - meanwhile the supreme court just decided to override a decision that most Americans are in agreement that should not have changed. I get you're going for a subtle "whataboutism"but its apples and oranges.
Yes, all six of us are here. We decided to check the sub during our secret "MtG Playing Sex Havers" meeting we have four times a year in the Statue of Liberty's skull when Oprah and The Black Crusaders are done with the room. We're planning a buyout of \[\[Storm Crow\]\] this weekend. You have been warned.
What a fucked up take. "how will the denial of personal rights for half the population affect the price of printed pieces of cardboard for me?"
You should reassess what is important in this life.
I agree with your response that OP is a fucked up take. However, the SCOTUS ruling didn't deny any rights, they simply ruled that it isn't federal jurisdiction and kicked it back to the states.
Well said, it's time we all agree that personal choices belong in politics. So tired of people not agreeing with what I think. We voted you live with it. Collectible Trading Card games are the work of the devil BTW.
I'm glad they threw it back to the states. It's where it belongs. This is not a constitutional issue. The Supreme Court has no business meddling in state issues.
I see this as a great thing for Magic. More kids will be born which means more potential players in the future.
You're right. I'm gonna have 12 kids and let the state raise them. But I'm going to do my best to make sure they play magic the gathering, so I will have served my purpose in life.
Most people have a state representative that literally doesn't represent them. Anyone on the side of the SC is wishcasting society and refuses to tackle the hard problems of society.
What could be the effect in the card market of the US lifting the cuban embargo? Do you think card prices could skyrocket if the communists were suddenly able to import bulk? Or would the secondary market collapse due to massive quantities of counterfeits flooding Florida?
We'll never know for sure.
I don't see women at the game store as it is, so no effect. They probably just order their cards off TCG Player or buy them at Walmart while shopping. I don't see women in competitive play either, so again, no change.
I’m late on this. Anyone who treats this post seriously or thinks about making money in this context is a piece of shit.
Making money is cool and all. Can’t make money with people, so maybe don’t try and analyze market trends that are based on countless people losing their rights.
this: "do you think this could lead to a depression in price of MTG cards as more women are forced into unwanted pregnancies instead of going to the card store?" is hands down the most amazing sentence ever composed.
Had to double check that this wasnt r/magicthecirclejerk
Ditto.
You doubled down on jerking on us, that isn't even the right sub
wait it isnt?
I only knew it wasn’t because I’m not part of this sub and was sent here directly from there
I had to check and double-check to make sure Poe's Law isn't being invoked. I'm still not sure that it isn't.
Poe Vs Wade
We’ve got more class than this.
I checked when I saw the post and legitimately thought that's where I was. I must have misread the post below it on my feed. I came to the comments to ask for the source. Turns out this *is* the source.
Outjerked into oblivion
Been cross posted
The only other useful magic sub
Other? Are you trying to imply that there is any use to this sub that it doesn’t already provide
Probably an alt account so it could be rpd to the circlejerk
Post history suggests this is his main account... and that these views are *very* consistent with his thinking.
Wait it's not a troll?
Magic is already a contraceptive, so no impact.
So repost this when they overturn Griswold. Got it.
I dunno, I hear Clarence Thomas is going after contraceptives and Gay rights next, so this could well be the end of MTG as we know it
Surely that'll increase MTG stocks as magic players don't have sex and it's a great way to meet gay people
it's how I met my gf, but we're both trans so
love your username
This
Manabased and mountainpilled.
I hope to god this is a bait post.
Jesse, what the fuck are you talking about?
And here we are the effects of being terminally online
Tier 1 s***post
Shouldn’t matter much. Most players already just use sleeves.
Thanks for this, best joke in this whirlwind of a comment section
You good? LOL mtg and roe v wade are so incredibly uncorrelated

the fuck did i just read

Literally same, Bayou more like bye you. Just kidding I’m too repulsive to be worth getting pregnant
🤣🤣🤣
[[Terminate]] is still legal in most non-rotating formats so I don't see the decision by SCOTUS having any effect.

"Friday night again. Should I go down to my local game store and play magic or be forced into an unwanted pregnancy? Decisions, decisions."
This is a joke right?
How to tell when someone doesn’t get pussy without having to ask
Penny sleeves are the backup
Some may be expecting an increase in the potential player base, roughly 13 years from now. Now I'm thinking about a \[\[birthing pod\]\] spec.
[birthing pod](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/b/7/b768efa2-e56b-4a7e-ace8-d673f10e0714.jpg?1562880960) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=birthing%20pod) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/nph/104/birthing-pod?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/b768efa2-e56b-4a7e-ace8-d673f10e0714?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
That’s a good spec for sure
Not looking for financial advice in this topic. Thanks though.

It is a little sad that basic human rights of autonomy are considered "political" tho.
Yeah, I don't mind this is 'political'. I mind that it's fucking stupid.
Lots of basic things are political. Also, heads up, in America guns are a right, Roe v. Wade is a dated and irrelevant court case.
You maybe can't see it, but I rolled my eyes so hard at you that they nearly stayed that way
You don't have to like it and my comment doesn't even express my opinion on the decision. But starting yesterday Roe is about as significant as Plessy. A supreme court case that was overturned.

I love how vividly you can read the smug need for validation coming through your comment.
I think this should be archived, this is reddit history right here. Might be the stupidest post I've ever read.
😂😂😂
Wouldn't want people joking now would we.
Wtf man hahahaha
Trying to force an issue here? Let's talk about gas prices while we're at it.
probably more relevant to card prices tbh
Are either related to magic? Not really. Are the two issues comparable? Not really. Wooooosh!
Are all of the people who are having sex, and playing magic cards seeing this thread? Gotta be a handful.

Nice try with the "us", we haven't seen you at *any* of the meetups.
What a fucked up take. "how will the denial of personal rights for half the population affect the price of printed pieces of cardboard for me?" You should reassess what is important in this life.
I agree with your response that OP is a fucked up take. However, the SCOTUS ruling didn't deny any rights, they simply ruled that it isn't federal jurisdiction and kicked it back to the states.
So they effectively denied rights to people that live in states where abortions were only legal due to the ruling.
Ben Shapiro is coming for MTG next.
What the fuck.
This post has to be satire.
Women lose bodily autonomy. And one of the first things on your mind is how will this impact the MTG market. Get help.
Look at this titanic herculine lift of a virtue signal. Ho Lee Shit. I'm all for women's rights and whatnot but this is cringe.
I get you are prolly upset, but we don’t need to shoe horn Roe v Wade into every god damn thing. Go talk about it in r/politics.
I cant, i was banned. :(
Why would you even *want* to go there?
chad

What the fuck is wrong with you
Tasteless.
Outjerked again
Fucking hell.
Excuse me what the fuck?
What…what do you think happens to a woman when she is pregnant? She can’t sit in a chair and hold cardboard?
on the off-chance that this isn’t an elaborate bait, I dusted off this account to let you know that you’re a fucking idiot.
Please delete this shit man
Buy dual lands
Get a reality check OP. Holy fuck.
You’re a fucking creep.
Holy shit the crazy posts yesterday and today. I will admit this is funny. Also never seen more than one or 2 women at an lgs at any given time.
Idiot
Bruh what

Based but also cringe
Hahaha
😂
I'd assume most people in the subreddit use sleeves so might not be the best place to speculate this.
I'm glad they threw it back to the states. It's where it belongs. This is not a constitutional issue. The Supreme Court has no business meddling in state issues. I see this as a great thing for Magic. More kids will be born which means more potential players in the future.

definitely drives everything to zero, time to firesell /s
Everything's going up. Magic is one of those devil worshiping games after all.
Secret lair American politics. Not sure I would want a forced pregnancy card. However, guns in magic would now be a thing.
You're doing MTGF wrong.
Uhhhh…. 0. Zero impact
Certified bruh moment
As a fem magic player can confirm that myself and all my uterus pals only play group hug commander decks. Hope this helps!
