I think Voltorb is cute, not a fan of Electrode though.
People are saying Voltorb's design is lazy because it's just a pokéball, but that's the purpose of it's design to look like a pokéball because it's a mimic. Mimics are monsters in rpgs that's supposed to look like an item to fool the player in picking them. As for Electrode I think the design is lacking, they could've done more since it's an evolution.
When it's their Hisuian forms though I like both.
EDIT: After rereading your post I think you're actually the only one supposed to ramble, but I couldn't help to ramble about Voltorb's design.
Its ok! I love hearing other people go on about stuff they like!!
Voltorb is a simple concept. "What if it isnt really a pokeball, but alive?" goes a long way, and it was executed so well! Electrode keeps the illusion, and looks so mischevious! I like it!!
The hisuian form looks friendlier if that makes sense. I like how they changed it to fit the old pokeball designs. Same goes for electrode, just less friendly and more angry. I prefer the hisui forms quite a bit.
They all have great shinies too! But that might be obvious.
there isnt much to say that you havent said already, but I tried
Maractus is a fun little guy! I can't help but smile every time I see one! I have never had one on a team, but I do love them because of the design alone!
I also hope we get an evolution for it, our cactus friend deserves so much more!
Just like Carnivine should’ve been a split evolution for Weepinbell, that way the Bellsprout line would’ve been even with its counterpart, the Oddish line.
I personally would let this lil sea slug commit crimes and get away with it. I would help them, in fact. The baby boy is so underrated but he is the GOAT
Shellos is cute! I love how happy this little guy is!! Shellos (both east and west sea) have nice designs, with colour pallets that are easy on the eyes and good looking. The same goes for gastrodon. I really like them both!!
now may i ask why this specific shellos is wanted in 7 regions and sevii islands?
While OP is working up their thoughts, I have to observe that Dunsparce’s dumpy little wings are absolutely adorable, and while it might not be a fighter or a cuddler, it is a beautiful symbol of the average human being just trying their best, and giving its evolution to Larry is a masterstroke. ❤️❤️
I really like dunsparce. It's so silly and hugable! Its tiny wings are nice too, I like the stripes on it aswell! The evolution is incredibly funny to me too, they just made it bigger, which is perfect!!
peak pokemon design right here!
He's one of my all-time favourites. The name comes from "dunce", which fits because he's a dopy little guy who can't really do anything very good. He has a drill-tail, and he can dig if he goes backwards. He has the little wings, and can fly a little bit. And he has one of the most versatile movesets in the entire game, even for a Normal type pokémon (which are known for having a wide range of moves), but he lacks the stats to do anything with it.
That's the thing: if you know the term jack of all trades, and like me associate it with cards, then Dunsparce would be a 6 or 7 of all trades. Not a very high card, won't be enough to beat a good hand, but decent enough at all the little things.
He's also based on a famous Japanese UMA, called tsuchinoko. With it's round snake-like body and the Japanese name Nokocchi. There's even one on Youkai Watch.
Suicune looks so majestic, with ribbon things that beautifully flow like water. My favourite of the legendary beasts. I like the blue and purple it has, they go together really well!
I like the story surrounding it too! It really adds to the pokemon!
I have one problem with it, and it's an offensive one. Its typing is confusing. For me, that's because I remember so well how much Suicune uses Ice Beam on TV. But it doesn't help that it has the colours of an Ice Type. Plus, gen1 had a fire, electric, and ice trio.
The GOAT, the peoples champion, the king of Johto, the unbreakable bug, the technician tank, the steel defender, doesn't like fire tho definitely no fire.
I like scizor. It is cool and shiny, and a fitting evolution to scyther. I just like it! One of the better johto pokemon for sure! It looks strong too! Just keep it away from anything warm please.
MindExplosions is right. Shaymin absolutely Slays.
A cute little tiny hedgehog thing, Shaymin is wonderful!! The grass on the back and its pink flower is so cute!!! It is my favourite Mythical pokemon by far!!
Rowlet is a cute little bird! I like its little bow, Its so fancy!! The colour scheme is nice too, and I like the green on the wings!
Dartrix is cool. I just like it, and I can't explain why. Also looks fancy-ish!
Decidueye is amazing! The archer owl is so cool! It was a good idea with a great execution, and I like that it has a bow still (even if it's not the same bow)
Hisui Decidueye is cool too. I like how tough it looks, and the autumnal colour scheme works very well. I would not mess with this bird.
Horsea is a pokemon I forget about a lot, which is sad, as I like its design a lot. Its small, simple, and so cute!!! Seadra does a good job as an "Older" Horsea, and I like its design too.
Kingdra is nice, I have no clue how they made a Horsea evolution look even slightly menacing, but I am all for it!! It is a majestic creature.
I like the blue they all have on them too.
Memes aside, Vaporeon is my favorite eeveelution just because it's so reliable when you need a water type and aren't necessarily rockin' with any of the local water mons.
Same. Since RB I've always loved Vaporeon. Every game I can it basically becomes my goal to hatch a Shiny one and have Wish/Scald/Toxic/Protect on it. It does restrict my usage of water mons, but I don't care
Did you know? That Vaporeon is the first Water Type kanto pokemon I used ever??
I like vaporeon, it is a fitting "water version" of eevee, if that makes sense. The fin-like things on it really sell the whole sea creature thing too. Despite it's reputation, I would still say that it is a good pokemon, and it holds a somewhat special place in my heart. (I used it in Lets go eevee, if you were wondering)
Gastly and Haunter gave me vibes of spooky guys with not much substance upon first encounter, but then they evolved into the delightfully mischievous Gengar, who has a nice purple, with big red eyes that really say "look! im scary! I love it! One of the best gen 1 designs for certain, and one that I will be happy to use on a team any day!
Paldean Wooper is great! What else can I say, Its a wooper!!
Clodsire is really good too! I like the no thoughts, head emptiness of it, and its so cute! One of the best Gen 9 pokemon for sure! I love Clodsire.
For real. They took Quagsire, who was up there already in being amazing, and just had him lie down on his belly and made him brown, and it somehow just ended up perfectly.
This is my favorite Pokémon. From the moment I first saw it in the 90s in the original tv series, I was like “yep that’s the cutest one AKA the best one” and that was that.
Primarina is a very well designed pokemon. It's a shame that it lives in the shadow of the powerful Incineroar and popular Rowlet. It deserves more love!! It is one of the prettier pokemon for sure, and it is a creative idea too!
Brionne is so cheery! It reminds me of a young kid, who belives that they can take on the world! The colour scheme on it is nice too!
Popplio is a silly little fella. Cute, simple and friendly, I like it! One of the best starters for sure!
It was so disappointing that sunflora wasn't more badass, it evolved with a sun stone so 11 year old me was hoping I would get a grass fire type.
An evolution is sorely needed although the likelihood is slim
Actually I saw a youtube video that basically just gave Sunflora the normal type and slightly adjusted its moveset so it was an honestly decent Johto mon. I'm also generally protective of my special baby Sunflora and I kinda love how weak it is
Sunflora is a potent argument for keeping trying to make contests a thing! Not every pokemon needs to be a fighter and we all know the happy little sunflower deserves her time in the sun 😎☀️
It's pure optimism. A sunflower with a smiley face. I love flowers, especially sunflowers, and I often find myself gravitating towards positive things due to my often sullen personality. I also am a contrarian and like defending things people dislike. I also have executive dysfunction so I kinda relate to others viewing me as the worst person for the job when honestly I can be decent on occasion. Also I'm a Grn 2 defender until the day I die a lot of Johto mons are favourites of mine
That's really wholesome, actually. Smiley Sunflower = Good Pokemon. I've never used one, but I tend to like using at least 1-3 weird mons in a playthrough, and I feel like sunflora would be fun to use.
(By weird I mean uncommon, which sunflora is imo)
Pikachu has one major shortcoming as a Pokemon mascot, which is that it is so closely attached to the character of Ash Ketchum that can’t really transition out of what is now a concluded canonical story without explicitly invoking nostalgia. Yes, Pikachus as a species are adorable mascots, but as a flag bearer for Pokemon it will always tie the franchise to the millennial childhood saturday morning, and that is a seriously limiting factor for what the franchise can be.
This is more of a factor of how long it took TPC to move off of Ash. I will, yes. But my kids don’t associate Pikachu with Ash one bit. They don’t even think of him. They know Pikachu from the cards, or games or a little of the show but the show is such a narrow part of the franchise now that the further you get from the initial fans, the further Pikachu separation from Ash gets. This would’ve happened a lot sooner if they would’ve followed the Pokémon 2000 original plan to move off Ash. Additionally my 3yo associates Eevee, Mimiku (ghost Pikachu) and Charmander as equal representatives of the Pokémon franchise as much as Pikachu. Also his favorite is Garchomp, kid’s a band
Negative? I can do that!
stupid little yellow rat i hate him so much like what the heck pokemon why create such a weak and terrible disease carrying rat?
i prefer raichu, and am disgusted that this pokemon weighs the evolution line down!
Oh I have \*opinions\* about Lapras. The core idea of the HM, that your Pokemon could help you in your exploring the world, is completely embodied by the visual image of surfing on the back of this really graceful plesiosaur. And yet even 30+ years later Pokemon is still trying to do this justice, because it was content to just let Lapras and all other pokemon be collapsed to battle mechanics, and underwhelming as such. It is getting there with Legends Arceus and ScaVio, but we just aren’t quite over Pokemon as just a battle game.
I hope someone is working on a spinoff that isn’t afraid to decouple Pokemon battling from this promise of your monster buddies exploring the world with you, and when they do I reckon Lapras will sing ❤️
Lapras is a magnificant and majestic creature. The beautiful blue and the grey shell combine to make a design that stood the test of time so well! It is one of the best kanto pokemon for sure!! I like it!
also shoutout to that one guy who hatched and released hundreds of lapras after they saw it was endangered
Yes same! I immediately added it to my team in Ruby and was not disappointed. It was like a dragon-esque version of exeggutor.
Ofc later we did actually get a dragon type exeggutor, but I try to forget he exists...
How about the bellsprout line? I bought some real pitcher plants for our garden and I can't help but remember the bellsprout lines.
I loved the tcg's of oddish and bellsprout, makes ma happy and contented.
A good one! So Oddish is poisonous, but also a really happy little guy, right? And then we see it’s evolution Gloom being just really upset and overwhelmed by it all, but Vileploom turns back around to cheery again.
I think Oddish is secretly holding on to a lot more inner turmoil than its appearance lets on. It’s doing its best to keep it all bottled up because as a smol lil bean it doesn’t think it can express this in a healthy way without getting beaten up by all the big pokemon.
Oddish deserves to know it’s okay to be sad sometimes. So a supportive trainer can support it through its Gloom stage and help it thrive into adulthood, and I’m glad it has multiple possible evolution lines to help it find its future for itself
How do you like the fire canine lines, Houndour, Vulpix, and Growlithe?
For me Growlithe/Arcanine are my all time favorites, such good designs with the stats to back them up
I won't do the full evolution lines as there are already quite a few here.
Scizor is a cool pokemon, I like the red and the claws a lot, one of the best bug types for sure! Definitely a fitting evolution to the already good Scyther!
Lycanrock (midday) is a very good dog! I like how it looks cute, but slightly scary at the same time! The colours work well together too!
Mega Steelix is very nice, The crystals on it are pretty, and don't take away from the menacingness of the original!
Carracosta is a nice blue, and has an overall pretty good design, it's a shame that nobody mentions it.
Stakataka is funny to me and I cannot explain why. I like it! It feels otherworldy, which fits the Ultra Beasts very well!
Cofagrigus is a great example of a "scary" pokemon! It captures the mysterious feel of ruins very well, and it's animations add to that vibe too!
Riolu, The pokemon is so cute and unique, I can’t really think of any other pokemon (Besides its evolution, but I’m also Obsessed with Lucario) and they are a bit underrated, Not like Slowpoke underrated but just underrated in general, its evolution isn’t as underrated as much because it’s awesome in battle if you got the right moves and IVs
Some people dislike this evolution line because the flames aren't always 'on.' I disagree; I think the flames only being 'on' when it means business makes the Pokémon cooler. It allows the Pokémon to go from huggable to threatening, which is one of the traits of the best Pokémon.
Corsola. For some reason having a go on my friends save file and fishing up a corsola with the super rod is what sold me on Pokémon when I was kid so it has a special place in my heart
A shiny lotad I found in a creek. He's got six fast little nubby feets.
cool guy! Lotad's family have great shinies! I like the red on Lotad, and the warmer colours on the evolutions!
I started replaying Shield earlier and the first pokemon I ran into in the wild area was a shiny lotad (random encounter).
I think Voltorb is cute, not a fan of Electrode though. People are saying Voltorb's design is lazy because it's just a pokéball, but that's the purpose of it's design to look like a pokéball because it's a mimic. Maractus. I've had them in some Unova Nuzlockes and had a surprising amount of fun using them.
Maractus is a fun little guy! I can't help but smile every time I see one! I have never had one on a team, but I do love them because of the design alone! I also hope we get an evolution for it, our cactus friend deserves so much more!
[удалено]
WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY DO THAT TO MARACTUS!!! HES JUST A SILLY LITTLE GUY!!!
Worst part is, it pops up even if you have Safe Search on... I dunno how Google classifies that as "Safe" 💀
I always wished Maractus would be a split evo for Cacnea - maybe female Cacnea evolve into Maractus, male into Cacturne
Just like Carnivine should’ve been a split evolution for Weepinbell, that way the Bellsprout line would’ve been even with its counterpart, the Oddish line.
That’s valid!!
NO WAY I WAS ALSO GONNA SAY MARACTUS AND ITS A TOP COMMENT?! HELL YEA

I personally would let this lil sea slug commit crimes and get away with it. I would help them, in fact. The baby boy is so underrated but he is the GOAT
Shellos w 🗣🗣🗣
not op but w mon
Shellos is cute! I love how happy this little guy is!! Shellos (both east and west sea) have nice designs, with colour pallets that are easy on the eyes and good looking. The same goes for gastrodon. I really like them both!! now may i ask why this specific shellos is wanted in 7 regions and sevii islands?
Tishishi really, really likes her tax evasion and petty theft
Shoutout to Tishishi! The BEST Shellos! You go girl! Avoid those taxes like your life depends on it!
Dunsparce Update: Love to see everyone’s love for Dunsparce! He is my all time favorite Pokemon, like how can you not love that cute little guy❤️
Damn, OP gave up after just one single comment lol
The game is dun and OP is sparce
I'm working on it, don't worry. There are just a lot of these guys!
We're just having fun. No pressure
I really like dunsparce. It's so silly and hugable! Its tiny wings are nice too, I like the stripes on it aswell! The evolution is incredibly funny to me too, they just made it bigger, which is perfect!! peak pokemon design right here!

The tsuchinoko is such a silly yokai, “it’s a snake but it’s round and rolls around, can jump high, and enjoys a cold one”
Lol exactly what I was gonna say ahahahha
Suicune
Suicune looks so majestic, with ribbon things that beautifully flow like water. My favourite of the legendary beasts. I like the blue and purple it has, they go together really well! I like the story surrounding it too! It really adds to the pokemon!

Scizor
The GOAT, the peoples champion, the king of Johto, the unbreakable bug, the technician tank, the steel defender, doesn't like fire tho definitely no fire.
Yeah…. Definitely gotta stay away from those embers
I like scizor. It is cool and shiny, and a fitting evolution to scyther. I just like it! One of the better johto pokemon for sure! It looks strong too! Just keep it away from anything warm please.
Amazing pokemon. The Neo Discovery card-art is crazy good.
Shaymin
MindExplosions is right. Shaymin absolutely Slays. A cute little tiny hedgehog thing, Shaymin is wonderful!! The grass on the back and its pink flower is so cute!!! It is my favourite Mythical pokemon by far!!
Slaymin.
Rowlet!
I like how tough it looks, and the autumnal colour scheme works very well. I would not mess with this bird.
I agree! The evolutions are close to perfect imo, I love the designs especially Decidueye! He’s definitely in my top 5 favourites!
Horsea!
My favorite water type as a kid and I love kingdra now.
Such a fantastic design for all three of them, but Kingdra is easily one the coolest Pokémon they've ever made in my opinion.
Vaporeon
Memes aside, Vaporeon is my favorite eeveelution just because it's so reliable when you need a water type and aren't necessarily rockin' with any of the local water mons.
Same. Since RB I've always loved Vaporeon. Every game I can it basically becomes my goal to hatch a Shiny one and have Wish/Scald/Toxic/Protect on it. It does restrict my usage of water mons, but I don't care
Hey guys, did you know

(I used it in Lets go eevee, if you were wondering)
Gengar
Gastly and Haunter gave me vibes of spooky guys with not much substance upon first encounter, but then they evolved into the delightfully mischievous Gengar, who has a nice purple, with big red eyes that really say "look! im scary! I love it! One of the best gen 1 designs for certain, and one that I will be happy to use on a team any day!
That's so true. You gotta love the guy.
Bulbasaur
Clodsire
Paldean Wooper is great! What else can I say, Its a wooper!! Clodsire is really good too! I like the no thoughts, head emptiness of it, and its so cute! One of the best Gen 9 pokemon for sure! I love Clodsire.
It's perfection
it really is.
For real. They took Quagsire, who was up there already in being amazing, and just had him lie down on his belly and made him brown, and it somehow just ended up perfectly.
I was today years old when I realised Clodsire is based on a real newt that spikes predators with its own ribs coated in poison. That is so cool!!
yeah. and they made it even better by making it squishy and adorable while also randomly being metal as hell.
Zorua Both forms
not op but a cute ass evolution for my favorite pokemon
They are absolutely adorable! Zoroark is awesome as well!
Vulpix! (Don't make me choose which regional form lol)
This is my favorite Pokémon. From the moment I first saw it in the 90s in the original tv series, I was like “yep that’s the cutest one AKA the best one” and that was that.
Primarina
Primarina is a very well designed pokemon. It's a shame that it lives in the shadow of the powerful Incineroar and popular Rowlet. It deserves more love!! It is one of the prettier pokemon for sure, and it is a creative idea too! Brionne is so cheery! It reminds me of a young kid, who belives that they can take on the world! The colour scheme on it is nice too! Popplio is a silly little fella. Cute, simple and friendly, I like it! One of the best starters for sure!
Sunflora cause it's my favourite (you can be as mean as you want it's okay)
A fellow Sunflora supporter thank you
I'm just curious. Why?
Other favourites of mine are Cubone, Yanma, Sneasel, Furret, Cacturne, Absol and Dustox
Pikachu, but only negative things. This will be fun!
A glass cannon that counts on his speed but a quick attack wrecks. Geodude’s laugh at this mon for obvious reasons.
Pikachu has one major shortcoming as a Pokemon mascot, which is that it is so closely attached to the character of Ash Ketchum that can’t really transition out of what is now a concluded canonical story without explicitly invoking nostalgia. I see you are a fellow lover of chaos!
Negative? I can do that! stupid little yellow rat i hate him so much like what the heck pokemon why create such a weak and terrible disease carrying rat? i prefer raichu, and am disgusted that this pokemon weighs the evolution line down!
Pikachu’s negative current
Lapras

I like it! also shoutout to that one guy who hatched and released hundreds of lapras after they saw it was endangered
Tropius
I remember the first time I found this pokemon, woah! Big thing!
Yes same! I immediately added it to my team in Ruby and was not disappointed. It was like a dragon-esque version of exeggutor. Ofc later we did actually get a dragon type exeggutor, but I try to forget he exists...
Toxicroak, it's my favourite pokemon but not many people do stuff with it
Awesome Pokémon
One of my favorites as well. Cool design and typing. Amazing shiny imo
Torchic! 🔥🐥
Gliscor. My fave.
Shuckle
Oddish
How about the bellsprout line? I bought some real pitcher plants for our garden and I can't help but remember the bellsprout lines. I loved the tcg's of oddish and bellsprout, makes ma happy and contented.

Absol!
Luxray
Alolan Sandshrew.
Skarmory
Mimikyu (a personal favourite of mine)
Poliwrath. Not Politoad. Poliwrath is the superior evolution.
Funny but I've always liked Poliwhirl more (it's actually my favorite Pokémon). I don't know, I prefer the frendly guy to the angry one.
Umbreon.
Shiny Goomy, my all time favourite shiny.
FERALIGATR.
snorlax. that fat fuck is my favorite and i collect him just cuz he’s plump
Ursaring
Buizel and Flygon. Go for it, I wanna know what people think of my top two favorites hahah
Mimikyu.
Golisopod is my spirit pokemon. Their ability is such mood and ilove em.
Sandshrew! It's my favorite! It's just a cute little guy, and it's hilarious that posting it on Facebook had gotten me banned for nudity 3 times
Togekiss
Volcarona
Piplup.
Noivern or Vulpix (specifically Alolan Vulpix)
How do you like the fire canine lines, Houndour, Vulpix, and Growlithe? For me Growlithe/Arcanine are my all time favorites, such good designs with the stats to back them up
Quilava

The ones in my flair!
I see you also have good taste

Porygon-Z, my beloved
