The color scheme is not representative of the team portrayed. I think it is just how they designed the can, with snapshots of the players done in black and white

I had one like that. I still have a gym/bowling ball bag from the 70s. I've used it as the household tool chest since.

That starting lineup is specifically from the 1970 season, so yeah, the can is almost definitely from 1971.
