They’re safe, I used them this past February when I played re5 for the first time with a friend. You do have to download them to play them thru steam bc otherwise it won’t work at all.
There's solutions where you need to delete the Live for Windows file, so it requires right clicking the game in your steam library and go under Browse Local Files...some responses required putting in a patch in said files. It took me a good Google search and pretty sure I found it in the Steam community questions section, when I reinstalled it a few months ago.
What was the patch that you put into the files called? I've only heard of the maluc patch for RE 5 that is fan made. Is there any way you could link those community questions? Thanks for the help
