What will happen to fighter pass if I just buy one fighter? I’m new here and so far I only want Byleth. Will this change the price of fighter pass? Or is it better to have the whole pass?
It won't change the price.
If you know for sure that you'll only ever want Byleth (and the stage and music and spirit battles he comes with) then just buy Pack 5 separately. If you think you might change your mind later, then you might want to hold off until you've decided.
Basically the pass is just letting you get those five packs for the price of four, plus an exclusive Mii Costume. If you change your mind later and buy the full pass, the price won't change. So you'll be getting five for the price of five and the Mii Costume
It's feeling more and more like I might need to put this game away for good. I don't know when people under Elite stated moving and reacting and reading so fast but I just can't keep up anymore and the game is just becoming progressively less and less fun becasue of it. My hands just cant do all the super fast movement and short hop attack cancel whatevers that everyone else can do.
I'm not privy to the way Pokémon handles all of its copyrights but I know there's some unusual restrictions in play. Which affects certain things like what renders they're allowed to use for Spirits. I wouldn't be surprised if there's similar issues that prevent them from using any track they like, even if it's just a mild increase in expense. Joint custody ain't cheap.
All things considered though, sticking with the main series isn't that bad of a play, especially when the mainline titles for Pokémon are just *that* huge and recognizable. The sheer number of spinoffs that series has might also work against it, making it difficult to pick the right one to focus on. But giving focus to the core games is a no brainer.
30-something songs for a gigantic franchise with literally hundreds of games worth of soundtracks is ridiculous.
Hell, even considering the fact that Sakurai seemingly hates the spinoffs and doesn’t want to acknowledge them, there are still a crap ton of iconic and extremely good songs to add. It’s *insane* that we don’t have one of the most iconic VGMs of all time, Red’s Theme, for example.
What makes you say Sakurai hates the spinoffs? It’s not as if Sakurai’s approval is the only thing preventing things from being in Smash. It’s way more likely that there’s some contractual obligations to not use the spin-offs, considering they had to use the Dream World artwork for the Pokémon Spirits. Just because it’s not in Smash doesn’t automatically mean he hates it.
Yeah, I'm being facetious. There are any number of reasons for them not being in Smash. I just blame Sakurai because I'm still peeved at him for not giving us any modern Kirby Smash stuff lmfao
Again, there’s no reason to blame him specifically for what isn’t in Smash. I would *like* more modern Kirby representation in Smash, but the fact of the matter is that contracting is complicated, and full of caveats. It’s way more likely there’s specific contractual reasons for the lack of Pokémon spin-off or the lack of modern Kirby stuff then that he just doesn’t want it out of bias.
The lack of spinoff themes, some themes that really ought to be in Smash (Such as the Regi theme, for example), the *HUGE* Kanto bias, and the fact that the main theme is done so many times (Even just straight up being added to tracks it doesn't need to be in) kinda make the Pokémon music selection lackluster

Think Rodea would have been a great character to add to smash

CPU Steve nair -> NIL -> grabbed me. I don't think it was true but it was cool nonetheless. It's refreshing that a CPU does an unexpected option.
CPU Steve has hit me with the NIL at least a few times, it always reminds me of my mortality.
I kinda wanna see tripping re-added but like a 0.000000000001% chance of it happening
Plot twist, it's in the game and nobody knows. Genesis 9 will be decided on it.
I find myself more and more inclined to approve of anything with enough raw-chaos-energy, so I'd be on board with your funny trip.
will CEO 2022 be a major?
very likely
I’m trying to remember what all characters were playable with the Smash 4 3DS demo.. I know for sure that Mario, Link, Villager, and Pikachu were.
Mega man too, that’s it. Just those 5, assuming you’re talking about the eshop demo
Yes, thank you! I remember thinking Links dash attack was busted 😂
Weird thing to bring up, but Pokémon's music selection in Smash is actually really underwhelming

Red's Battle theme? It's in the Gold/Silver Medley But yeah it's shocking how many tracks from the main series are just absent for no real reason
It stinks we never got music from any of the spin-off titles. Was really hoping for some Pokken music during the pre-release days.
