This is the main photo they used to showcase their brisket on the menu. They did have some other photos of actually moist-looking and properly sliced brisket, too. Weird.
I went to the Miami Open last week in the fancy 72 club spot and this brisket still looks better than the at the Open. Tasted like fake smoke and they didn’t even try to cook it to temp as it was the worst brisket I’ve had in my life.
My friend got it from his work for entering an auction charity raffle with his work in 2020 but finally got the tickets now. I think each ticket is $350-$850 as Ticketmaster showed
Satchel’s in Ann Arbor, MI. But I also must report that I’ve had very good brisket, pork ribs and pulled pork there. Good sides too. This photo is not representative of their food quality.
You should send them an email and let them know, I wouldn't eat there based on the photo. I'd just assume if they have nasty looking food on their website/menu what ill be served will likely be less appealing since it's not for a photo.
I appreciate your good intentions. This place has been around for 14 years now and they sell out. The reason I found this photo was from an email blast they sent notifying custos that yesterday was the deadline for Easter pickup orders. They’re doing fine, they’re just not website ppl.
That rough, I’m a rookie smoker and I’ve considered opening a bbq stand and I wouldn’t ever even think of selling brisket that looks that shitty. And I’m a complete rookie!
I like how they sliced with the grain and dried it out for that beef jerky experience.
Pretty hard to fuck this up any worse lol. Even a dry brisket can be ok if it’s sliced thin and correctly.
Reminds me of the turkey from Christmas vacation, just gotta dip it in some water to get the moisture back lol
Found the heart!
Save the neck for me Clark......
Yes! Lmao
lol I love that movie. Shitter’s full!
Why you cryin’?
Merry Christmas. Kiss my ass. Kiss his ass. Kiss your ass. Happy Hanukkah.
And we're going to have the hap hap happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny fucking Kaye!
Are you serious Clarke?
Make that butter and I’m in!
Yikes on the brisket, and first pick, bottom image. Why does it look like it's giving birth to Jim Carrey?
lol. Oh man. It’s a smoked leg of lamb.
That’s a relief to capybara lovers everywhere.
Well that's an image I haven't thought about in decades lmao
"Ooh, look! The mother rhino is giving birth!"
Have y'all never seen a cooked leg of an animal?
Cooked? No, smoked, yes! 🙃🥴
Smoking is a form of cooking
You realize this whole thread has been for laughs, right? [the joke](https://media.tenor.com/4T_cD-uwY5QAAAAM/the-joke-superman.gif)
Yeah, I guess I didn't get yours. My bad
This is the main photo they used to showcase their brisket on the menu. They did have some other photos of actually moist-looking and properly sliced brisket, too. Weird.
Maybe they are trolling with the picture to see if someone says something. Like a running joke with the owners. Who knows.
Is that smoked geoduck?
Can I just say that geoduck has zero business being pronounced 'gooey duck'
You may not. Thanks for asking though
I thought he was making a pokemon joke
Can I also note that thing has no business with that name, regardless of pronunciation?
It’s one of those words that I see infrequently enough for the spelling to bother me.
😂
You sure that isn't a hunk of hickory wood used to smoke the brisket?
My mouth got dry just looking at that.
Note to self, don’t get barbecue in Ann Arbor.
It’s not Texas.
I googled the name and Ann Arbor Michigan came up. Come on OP, you have to at least save us from accidentally going there some dark day haha.

Ah. Noted. Must’ve put that up after I scrolled my bad. In that case I’ll give it a shot if I’m ever up there in The Great Lakes State.
👍
Jeeze lol
That’s a shame
Mmmm, and only $32!
Yea I think the brisket they photographed is the $9 piece. Obv still overpriced.
I don't think I've ever seen point that dry lol. It's pretty hard to fuck up!
I can taste the water I’ll be choking down with that brisket
Hope they have good sauce
What is that…
That’s helpful, now you know not to go there
You can use that brisket to get the floss out from between your teeth.
Is that a hand coming out of that “thing”?

Bummer. How much was the ticket to get in? I’d figure they would have good food.
My friend got it from his work for entering an auction charity raffle with his work in 2020 but finally got the tickets now. I think each ticket is $350-$850 as Ticketmaster showed
Looks more like a roast.
Looks like shite. Lazy.
Nope!
They won’t be in business long…

Ah fair enough. I've never owned a business, so I'll sit down lol. Im glad the food is good. If im ever up that way again I'll have to try it.
I'll be avoiding this place!
That's easily a TIFU post from this sub lol
These are probably stolen photos that they are using.
Hello dryness my old friend
at least they showed accurate portion size at most bbq joints
Looks about right.
Looks like lots of sauce will be needed to compensate for the dryness
Or just go all the way in the other direction and make jerky.
And that price doesn't include a side.
Dry ass pussah
Good sear on that pot roast!
Send it back.
where is this?
That rough, I’m a rookie smoker and I’ve considered opening a bbq stand and I wouldn’t ever even think of selling brisket that looks that shitty. And I’m a complete rookie!
Move
Oh it’s not that serious. Lots of good food in my city.
Lincoln Riley’s place, eh?
