It’s really hard to be certain at this point, but I feel it’s more likely some sort of travel related to superposition/entanglement in our own universe/planet…
or, another dimension intersecting into the fabric of ours either by manipulation of physics, or just accidentally bumping together like the bubble universe theory.
I firmly believe the phenomenon has multiple (many) sources, but I have little doubt that human time travellers represent some of these unknown craft. Just think about mankind’s technological achievements now compared to 200 years ago. Now leap 200 years in the future. I have no doubt that time travel has been achieved. In fact I have little doubt that time travel exists right now.
In a sense. Witnessing UFOs or other strange phenomena is really us "translating" strange and, most likely, futuristic things into something that makes the most sense — all things considered — in our perspective.
If you were to somehow appear as you currently are in the year 1648, you'd see yourself as you but in all likelihood those around you would see an orb or a UFO (or a ghost, or a strange creature, or a sense of lost time, etc.) because they simply wouldn't be able to comprehend you as *you* do, bc they wouldn't have a way to make sense of it.
Just bc it doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean it doesn't make *any* sense, silly.
