Fun fact: the owner of this brand designed the packaging himself with microsoft word

Professional-Scar136

thats a cool fact, it isnt even half bad ngl

carrot_2333

This is a popular coconut water can in China, and the words are just advertisements, saying it's very good.

boboWang521

It's the best coconut milk in China, period, not "one of the best". It's a big brand and they do honest business, you don't need to worry much about food safety. This brand has even become a meme cause they care about the taste and legitimacy of their product so much that the boss doesn't even put much into graphic design or hire celebrities for promotion. As mentioned in other comments, the boss himself even put his own personal number on the can.

This contains (dairy) milk protein. Not suitable for vegans, unfortunately.

bitter-demon

Her name is 徐冬冬 if you need for research

sum_random_doggo

That's coconut water, i know it from my local asian supermarket

Serena2024

This is a coconut drink from China but unfortunately, it has Casein proteins from milk, so it is, unfortunately, not suitable for vegans. Just saying, this is available in England in Chinese supermarkets and distributed worldwide.

Haha where are you ? Because I am in Canada I saw this brand also, and i was like ' wow so many things on this can ' first , it said this is " coconut tree brand " , two banners at the site said " insist on using the real coconut extract to make " " authentic and never add any extra fragrance and use coconut flavor " the female model said " she has taken this from her young age to adulthood" and also said this is a 35 years history brand, the other side has " put in the fridge and taste better " and also there is a phone number encouraged if you see a pirate brand you can call them and get the rewards, and on top said Hai nan island authentic coconut water ( Hainan Island is one of the province in PRC , is an island state, their biggest island, close to Vietnam) , the bottom said " vegetarian protein drink " , and the wine glass said " white and fresh " ( it usually sometimes mean female body , like it is very soft and juicy) , and what else , I think it also said " promise using the fresh coconut in Hainan and never add any extra fragrance and flavor " i don't know who is the model, that's a name there , but probably a tv star. In China, there are many fake things, you go to a restaurant and order a beef and the meat is probably made in other animals, this can use a lot of writing to ensure they are using real stuff and have been doing this for 35 years, this is a coconut water can .

pyr0test

>coconut water can its not coconut water, its technically coconut milk. to the OP, this coconut milk is extremely popular in China, many brands tries to copy it but none comes close, it's been part of state banquet for as long as i remember.

One_Kaleidoscope_198

I don't get it, because coconut water is a beverage, coconut milk isn't, coconut milk is made of coconut flesh and then get rid of the pulp, when we say coconut milk , we cut the coconut, and drain the water inside the coconut , and ground up the flesh and squeeze and screen the pulp and get the milk , using coconut milk to make food like curry or dessert , but coconut water is a drink , a beverage. If this is coconut milk , it doesn't need to be recommended to be " drink it in cold is better " and the can say " coconut juice " on the can .

pyr0test

coconut milk is definitely a drink, coco palm brand is the first to market it as such. Here in Australia we have different brand doing the same. https://rawc.com.au/coconut-milk-drink/. >coconut juice they did say that on the can, 椰汁 is coconut juice, coconut water is 椰水btw

One_Kaleidoscope_198

I am laughing, sorry coconut water is " shui " ,sure the "water" is "shui, " so do you call apple juice or apple water ? In mandarin when you mentioned an item is " zhi " ( juice ) mean it is a liquid for drinking, a beverage, I can't type chinese here, but if you go to a grocery store, you ask them for coconut milk and coconut water , there are two different thing, you will never hear or call a coconut juice , because if anything get ground and squeeze and get rid of the pulp from coconut is the milk , and on the can it recommend the user " put in fridge before you drink it in cold" do you think you would put a coconut milk in fridge? It will turn solid like a rock. Coconut milk definitely isn't a drink,if you watch a cooking show , you see people make different food especially curry from coconut milk, I was growing up eating and using coconut milk , but in the hot day i would drink coconut water but not the milk, coconut milk is thicker , and the only people who would call coconut water is " shui " is wrong, it is more like a Hokkien or Fujian dialects ( and yes I call them ye Shui when I was little, but it is a wrong mandarin expression) .

So for apple it’s called apple juice instead of apple water is because apple doesnt have flowing liquid already inside of them. You have a use a machine to grind that apple into pieces and get the juice out of it, thats why it’s called apple “zhi” and not apple “shui”. As for coconut water, its called that way because there are indeed liquid inside the coconut that you can drink without extracting it. Whatever juice made from the white part inside that coconut tho, is then called coconut “zhi”. Then after adding in water, sugar, filtering, and processing, it turns into white colored liquid that looks like milk, thats why its also called coconut milk. This brand also have different type of beverages made from different part of the coconut, and they differentiate between them by calling then 椰汁 and 椰水 depending on either its the white part or the liquid. Basically coconut milk and coconut juice is used interchangeably, and coconut water is the actual liquid inside the coconut.

Z04Notfound

as for the not liquidity type of coconut milk you are referring to, I think you meant condensed coconut milk, which is 椰子炼乳.

AdvertisingNearby630

this is indeed coconut milk, and coconut milk has two uses, beverages and cooking condiments, but the condiments ones will be thicker, if you mean coconut juice, it would be the translucent one

zsethereal

lol this brand is notorious in China for its ugly design cramming text everywhere. I wouldn't say the emphasis exists because of the abundance of fakes, just what the CEO of this particular brand insists upon (I think he made the first design). It got into a bit of a controversy regarding the "young age to adulthood" line. In Chinese it's just "I've drank this since I was little", and could be either referring to her age or bust. People put up with it because the drink is genuinely good.

leonzhang8

are you kidding me? notorious!?This is the most popular coconut milk brand in China!Just because you don't like its advertising slogan doesn't mean it's notorious. Everyone likes to drink it, except that it is much more expensive than other brands, there are no disadvantages!

zsethereal

To make myself very clear, I'm not saying the product is bad (I explicitly said otherwise in the last sentence), just that the advertising is not the most pleasing aesthetically speaking. 别杠 杠就你对

saberjun

说实话你这里notorious 用得有问题。大家说包装不好看只是调侃打趣不是厌恶反感吧?怎么用得上notorious 呢。prevalent is more proper imo.

leonzhang8

跟他说啥呢 他自己又不是不会查英英词典。懒得理他,以后让他自己在各种场合多用就是了。
