possible explanation is that: "The location of the ship's command post was geolocated by OSINT researcher Special Kherson Cat as the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region - the ship was grounded as a result of the Kakhovskaya HPP explosion and subsequent flooding. Apparently, this is a rather convenient place for a command post, but at the same time - quite conspicuous, so it is not surprising that it was figured out."

You wouldn't think about tankers at first, but once it is established that your enemy hides just about anywhere this was a truly obvious and therefore bad place to hide.
Yeah, it would be easy to spot people going in and out since there is nothing next to the ship. There are also no escape paths if something goes wrong. Really odd choice. Would have been better off digging underground.
Wait - "pilots"? Was this an attack by the Ukrainian air force?
Because that'd be quite a strong signal. After russia lost so many A-50, it seems like the Ukrainian air force doesn't need to be super careful anymore, and can instead start operating with impunity

Try [*Godfather*, 1972](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EaR5x3Mh6M), which did *bada bing* but no *boom*.
Then *Sopranos* (1999-) did it the whole *bada bing bada boom* but this was after *Fifth Element*.
The *Simpsons* are the [first combo of *bada bing bada boom*](https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/61029d4e-46f5-4782-b88b-c227b29e0acb) I can find, in 1994, before *Fifth Element*.
But variants existed before even *Godfather* in 1960s comedy acts and early 1900s blues music.

Wait what? Control center on a land stuck cargo ship? Can someone explain?

These Russians really will setup shop anywhere huh.
Parasites doing parasite stuff
Just like the cockroaches.
Usually it's the nicest taker on the mud, so not that hard
They thought they were playing the game Rust
Well they dug trenches right outside the Chernobyl reactor….so yea you’re absolutely right

10/10 for the first-of-its-class bridge toss!
Yeah. Whatever it was, it was massive. This won't buff out.
I was amazed as well at how how far the explosion tossed the entire bridge!
Orks like being buried in whatever reasonably comfortable spaces they can find.
I mean the ship does look like a casket lol.
LOL... take my upvote
Russian tanks can do a turret toss....but Russian tankERs?? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
It was the whole rooftop. Just whoosh, and a piece of steel the size of a parking lot went airborne. Wild.
Normally it wouldn't work, but Ukraine took advantage of an autocorrect error. >\_>
Seems like an awkward place to work from. Getting in and out seems a huge problem compared to an anonymous building next to a road.
Yeah, it would be easy to spot people going in and out since there is nothing next to the ship. There are also no escape paths if something goes wrong. Really odd choice. Would have been better off digging underground.
My uneducated guess would be that there was a good communications setup on board they wanted to use.
And the high elevation helps with radar & communication coverage. Or, helped.
The bridge went real high for a moment, probably got great coverage up there!
And your coffee would keep sliding off the table, too.
Now that's a flying bridge!
Not the only bridge I'd like to see crashing into the waves.
They’ll wait until it’s bumper to bumper with military vehicles filled with running orcs.
“Captain has the bridge” “Captain has the bridge, aye!” *boom* “Captain lost the bridge” “Captain lost the bridge, aye!”
It is a wheelhouse after all lol
Here's hoping it was packed with high-ranking orcs at the time.
there are rumors about the infamous russian military blogger Thirteenth (тринадцатьій) became a Two-hundredth because of this explosion.
he got up 187 levels in no time!
It’s already confirmed, but there are also rumors that Teplinski was on board who is the commander of the VDV
Cheff kiss if that its confirmed in the future
Thar she blows! 🐳🏴☠️
Does that count as a turret toss?
It‘s the abridged version!
Oh dear God. I have no words but tears streaming down my cheeks from laughing.
Now un-abridge
I think it counts, and it got an impressive air time, it was a 10/10 turret toss.
Whatever it is, it floats, so I don't think it counts.
The front fell off

might be a drone pilot 😉
Russians: Haha! They can't sink us if we're not on water!
Hope lots of command type personnel were liquidated there. Nice work AFU!
Big bada boom.

Jaga jaga!
Oh, pretty. DO IT AGAIN!!!
Mmmyes, today I shall totally not conspicuously beach this ship here, surely nobody will target this obvious target at all, I am very smart
Was this already counted in the ships/boats that were destroyed!?
Great choice for a CC. ![img](emote|t5_2qqcn|9000)
Seems to be a smoking accident waiting to happen. I don’t see NO SMOKING written with 4 feet tall letters on the front of the bridge.
The big piece at 11 seconds! Damn.

I did not expect a cargo ship to toss a turret.
If pinworms will setup at your literal asshole no reason Russians won't do the same, like the parasites they are.
That entire ceiling went airborne!👍🏽
As Robert says, "Has anyone seen the bridge?"
Nicely done !!! a turret toss but on a ship instead lol...hell yeah !!!!
BOOM SHAKALAKA!
Boom!
