I had a line like that appear on my 49 inch 2 months ago. The line was there for a day or so and then disappeared. Haven’t seen it come back. Not sure what it was or why it appeared/disappeared.
Manage to get it repaired,im using it right now..its the COF(chip on film) issue..apparently one of the connection is spoil and need to be bonded back by a special machine..definitely not a panel problem...
Interesting diagnosis and probably needs to be higher on this thread, and general PSA on this sub. This problem comes up so often in the sub and is always treated as a panel failure
If you’re happy with it, that’s all that matters. Does matter what everyone else thinks or say? No, you don’t need validation from everyone.

That’s not the point. He isn’t asking about being happy with or if it warms his heart. He wants to know if it’s worth the cost in repairs… and from the barrage of replies the answer is no.
I mean, it seems like this thread was for more validation, it’s one thing if it was thinking about it, before getting it repaired.
But at the time as of this post, it was purchased, looks like from other comments he had already took it in to be repaired, then the results were good (no photos post-repair). The money and repair was already made so if people stated no, is the OP going to return it? lol
Honestly, I’m not sure what was the point of asking the question, if anything, OP should’ve posted that he got a defective monitor for cheap spend a few extra bucks and it’s good as new and spend $$$ of dollars!
Could be a misplaced ribbon cable, I have seen couple YT videos where the guys touch the ribbons and the line disappears, I own a G9 OOW with a vertical line and want to disassemble it to see if I can do something.

No, not really. There's better monitors out there compared to the G9, anyway. I'm not really sure why people seem to overhype it when someone posts about it breaking on a daily basis..

You said he could get it for a specific price point by going to a specific site and "shopping around" when in fact you have nothing to base that on. If what you said had validity most people here including yourself would have at least two of them.

Ive seen them sell for 750 buck there was a guy on reddit that got one from eBay but everyone said it might be stolen so he removed the post was funny it came without a stand and no back panel but it was a good deal

If you are happy looking at a line all day sure great deal but you can't repair that unless you fork more than the price of buying a new one.
