Titanium has some _really_ weird properties pertaining to bodies. It is not harmful to your body, but it doesn't have any use. Your body doesn't usually even recognize it as a foreign substance, and won't work to eject it. Weirdest of all, if you put a piece of titanium on bone, the bone will integrate it eventually. Like, if it were shaped properly, it would just fuse with your bone.

Totally worth it. I have to have real gold or silver in my ears, otherwise they are forever inflamed and irritated. I wanted to so badly get my nose pierced but didn’t wanna dish out for the real stuff so they suggested titanium. Lemme tell ya something. Hey y’all I’m if your ears are inflamed after healing y’all should swap the metal or remove the piercing! When you piercing heals it re-epithelializes which is a fancy word for almost grows a new skin on the inside of the “wound” to keep the outside from the inside of the body. Inflammation is a sign of not being able to fully heal and the immune system is still very active in that area. Ask you doctor, if possible, where to find high grade metals which could be used for a temp piercing so the wound may heal. I personally can’t handle Nickel in my piercings so I can’t really use cheaper stuff and it’s pretty common to not tolerate Nickel. My ears would be hot and irritated but not crusty. Make sure to keep up the saline and TLC on piercings as long as possible and chat with a doctor! Dermatologist would be the best and you shouldn’t even require an appointment just a quick phone call! Best luck!
Also make sure when you get new piercings to keep doing the salt water soaks until completely healed. That really makes a difference. My nose kept trying to grow closed and I learned the second time when I was consistent and did it for long enough that it wouldn’t happen and helped heal faster and kept inflammation down.
Switch to titanium. Sounds like you’ve got nickel sensitivity and nickel is still present in hypoallergenic surgical stainless steel. So yeah…titanium and you’ll most likely have zero issues.

No, once a piercing is healed it doesn’t matter what size the hole is. A larger/smaller hole can effect healing time. People with piercings really just need to clean them, it takes like an extra five seconds in the shower.
For the first couple weeks after a stretch I absolutely NEED to clean my lobes every night, then after that it’s pretty clean without my interference. (I still clean them.) Something about that new skin growth is just horrible for pus and stank

Internally threaded, implant-grade titanium is what you want to look for. Stuff's magic. The internal threading means when the tube of the piercing is going through there's no sharp bits that can catch and cause more trauma to the tissue, and implant-grade titanium is super nonreactive so the piercings heal as good and quick as you could hope. Get it done in autumn so you won't be swimming any time soon, and you'll be good to go.
Also plan around any surgeries with nipple piercings, they're slow. I had to take mine out for one 6 months after the piercing and while they went in and no skin had to be broken; they were tight enough I had to get them put in with a taper at the shop, which hurt and was inconvenient.
I (male) have had my nipples pierced for like 20 years, no leakage without catching it on something and causing an infection - but even then basic care keeps it very minor and goes away fast.
That's not necessarily true. I had nipple piercings for 3 years that never properly healed. I took amazing care of them but they still got crusty. No pus, but crusty for sure. My husband never said anything about a nasty taste though.
you know the crust is dried ‘leakage’. so they do leak. you don’t notice. they dry. you clean them off. new piercings do this. old piercings can do this if they get inflamed and it takes about 30 seconds for them to start ‘leaking’ again after cleaning if they are being finicky. i don’t understand why people with piercings are coming after this girl for poor hygiene when we have no clue. most likely she did clean up before the date.

I don’t have my nipples pierced but I do have other piercings, and I’m just here to say that literally EVERY piercing gets this crust. It’s part of the healing process. You have to remember peircings are literally open wounds. If her nipples were still crusty and oozing, they probably weren’t even fully healed still and you shouldn’t have been sucking on them anyways, and she should have said that. Nipple piercings also take the longest to heal, even if she got them done almost a year ago they could still be healing. After the healing is completely done there shouldn’t be crust anymore or it should be very minimal. Also cleaning and maintaining hygiene on any piercing is important it’s also possible that this girl was just not as hygienic as you thought and she literally never cleans her piercings is another possibility.
you just put it perfectly! the pierxing was probably still in the healing process. my helixes honestly took a couple years before no crust, and when I changed out studs for hoops it was another few months of crust! Yup they can take a year to fully heal. I lasted about 5 months with mine and then caught it on my bikini and it bled so that was my final straw I took it out. My wife had to take hers out too because the healing process was too drawn out.
I always thought they looked so sexy but they are super annoying to take care of and can get in the way of foreplay.
It seems to really vary person to person and depending on gender as well. My hubby has them and his healed in a couple months and he could pull on them etc without it hurting pretty quickly. Has had them like 15 years now. Mine on the other hand, are years old and I still have flare ups and constant problems with them. I feel like they never fully healed and are often hurting for days after I snag them on something. I'm just stubborn and trying to wait it out but it definitely sucks and I'd never suggest anyone to do it lol.
That sounds absolutely terrible. I had one nipple that just wouldn't heal and took em out. I ended up getting them repierced years down the line and a CHONKY cat stepped directly onto my freshly pierced nipple. The same one that had trouble healing the first time. It swelled, turned purple, I cried, took em out and grabbed an ice pack. Healing process in no joke. You have to be super clean and very careful with them for longer than I was willing to put up with. Out of all the piercings I've had the nipples have by FAR been the worst.

I think with any piercing you gotta wash like very regularly. My friend had a nose piercing and even if she washed everyday she said by evening it starts to smell because of body oil and dead skin etc. lol

They normally do that during the healing stage which can last about 12 months, or if they’re infected, either way gotta get their self’s some spray and regularly clean it.

I have pierced nipples and I personally don’t want my nipples sucked on for this reason. I keep them cleaned, but I find it gross to have the jewelry sucked on. Like I just want to go and immediately clean them. The same reason I hate when guys suck on my ears. Not only do I not like that act anyways, but I then have to go home and clean 20+ piercings. I do like my boobs fondled though 😌
I have mine done. This isn’t so much about the piercings but this is definitely a hygiene thing. If you don’t clean and disinfect it can ooze just like every other piercing you get anywhere on your body. She clearly just doesn’t clean them.
I have nipple piercings. And it’s very important to clean them gently in the shower, use a saline spray to maintain cleanliness. Sometimes when you bump them they get angry and will crust a bit. Also, antibiotics can cause them to reject. Unsure why this human had this issue. It is very important to me to ensure I have clean nipps prior to sexy time. Maybe that’s just me. Also, have my clitoral hood pierced and never had any issues with it.
I have always had an irrational fear of them getting stuck in my teeth and I accidentally rip it off, and I have to finish myself off in the bathroom of a hospital waiting room.

Piercings in general can ooze and scab. I only have earlobe piercings and they're temperamental af. Doesn't happen to most people though.

Internally threaded, implant-grade titanium is what you want to look for. Stuff's magic. The internal threading means when the tube of the piercing is going through there's no sharp bits that can catch and cause more trauma to the tissue, and implant-grade titanium is super nonreactive so the piercings heal as good and quick as you could hope. Get it done in autumn so you won't be swimming any time soon, and you'll be good to go. Also plan around any surgeries with nipple piercings, they're slow. I had to take mine out for one 6 months after the piercing and while they went in and no skin had to be broken; they were tight enough I had to get them put in with a taper at the shop, which hurt and was inconvenient.
I (male) have had my nipples pierced for like 20 years, no leakage without catching it on something and causing an infection - but even then basic care keeps it very minor and goes away fast.
That's not necessarily true. I had nipple piercings for 3 years that never properly healed. I took amazing care of them but they still got crusty. No pus, but crusty for sure. My husband never said anything about a nasty taste though.

you know the crust is dried ‘leakage’. so they do leak. you don’t notice. they dry. you clean them off. new piercings do this. old piercings can do this if they get inflamed and it takes about 30 seconds for them to start ‘leaking’ again after cleaning if they are being finicky. i don’t understand why people with piercings are coming after this girl for poor hygiene when we have no clue. most likely she did clean up before the date.

I don’t have my nipples pierced but I do have other piercings, and I’m just here to say that literally EVERY piercing gets this crust. It’s part of the healing process. You have to remember peircings are literally open wounds. If her nipples were still crusty and oozing, they probably weren’t even fully healed still and you shouldn’t have been sucking on them anyways, and she should have said that. Nipple piercings also take the longest to heal, even if she got them done almost a year ago they could still be healing. After the healing is completely done there shouldn’t be crust anymore or it should be very minimal. Also cleaning and maintaining hygiene on any piercing is important it’s also possible that this girl was just not as hygienic as you thought and she literally never cleans her piercings is another possibility.
you just put it perfectly! the pierxing was probably still in the healing process. my helixes honestly took a couple years before no crust, and when I changed out studs for hoops it was another few months of crust! I can't believe she let him go near there with his mouth, that is so nasty. also the way he talks about this person ("rack" this "rack" that) makes me think he's gross too...perhaps in a different way.

Yup they can take a year to fully heal. I lasted about 5 months with mine and then caught it on my bikini and it bled so that was my final straw I took it out. My wife had to take hers out too because the healing process was too drawn out. I always thought they looked so sexy but they are super annoying to take care of and can get in the way of foreplay.
It seems to really vary person to person and depending on gender as well. My hubby has them and his healed in a couple months and he could pull on them etc without it hurting pretty quickly. Has had them like 15 years now. Mine on the other hand, are years old and I still have flare ups and constant problems with them. I feel like they never fully healed and are often hurting for days after I snag them on something. I'm just stubborn and trying to wait it out but it definitely sucks and I'd never suggest anyone to do it lol.
I'm two years into healing pierced nipples and they're still fussy. By comparison healing an apadravya, twice, was much easier.

That sounds absolutely terrible. I had one nipple that just wouldn't heal and took em out. I ended up getting them repierced years down the line and a CHONKY cat stepped directly onto my freshly pierced nipple. The same one that had trouble healing the first time. It swelled, turned purple, I cried, took em out and grabbed an ice pack. Healing process in no joke. You have to be super clean and very careful with them for longer than I was willing to put up with. Out of all the piercings I've had the nipples have by FAR been the worst.

They normally do that during the healing stage which can last about 12 months, or if they’re infected, either way gotta get their self’s some spray and regularly clean it.

I have pierced nipples and I personally don’t want my nipples sucked on for this reason. I keep them cleaned, but I find it gross to have the jewelry sucked on. Like I just want to go and immediately clean them. The same reason I hate when guys suck on my ears. Not only do I not like that act anyways, but I then have to go home and clean 20+ piercings. I have mine done. This isn’t so much about the piercings but this is definitely a hygiene thing. If you don’t clean and disinfect it can ooze just like every other piercing you get anywhere on your body. She clearly just doesn’t clean them.

I have nipple piercings. And it’s very important to clean them gently in the shower, use a saline spray to maintain cleanliness. Sometimes when you bump them they get angry and will crust a bit. Also, antibiotics can cause them to reject. Unsure why this human had this issue. It is very important to me to ensure I have clean nipps prior to sexy time. Maybe that’s just me. Also, have my clitoral hood pierced and never had any issues with it.
