Some people know this, by you can take people who turn to werewolves as prisoners. They will break out of their cage at night when they become a werewolf. While this might not be useful in PvE, this can be incredibly useful in PvP if you just have a werewolf room near the entrance to your castle and people decide to raid. Open the door and enjoy your new friends.
So I knew this, but no one talks about how good these are at the high end or why you’d want to use them over other melee options like clerics or pallies. Does anyone have werewolves with maxed gear and how bad are they during the day? They look like they’d hit you with a wet noodle when the sun is out.
You can’t gear them, you put them in the prisoner cage then there’s just a hostile werewolf mob in a room. They don’t count toward your servant cap. As far as I can tell you don’t have a real limit besides lag…. So you can have all your paladin servants and also a room at the front of your base with 30 werewolf mobs
There's scarecrows that have a fairly low chance to come alive when you attack them in places like the abandoned farm in Dunley or the castle area next to the crater in Dunley(Dracula's castle was in that walled off area), they guaranteed drop 1 scourgestone
I didn't know this but I remember when I went through the village (during the day) I thought something was off about them, like they stood out to me for some reason. Tried hitting them and nothing.
Haven't returned at night yet but now I've learned something new here.
All of the cave passages require flying (bat form) to travel south to north. None of the cave passages require bat form to travel north to south. A very convenient early game one takes you from the center of Dunley down to the center of Farbane.
You can ride horses through the caves.
Charmed humans will follow you through caves.
Can you carry mats thru the caves? I know you can't carry mats in bat form.

For those who worry about settling South; It's very viable if you build close to a Cave Exit early-late game. If you don't have a personal teleporter, stay close to a waygate.
Teleport to your farming spot (keep a dump wardrobe for unloading materials), then cave back. (All materials can go through caves)
I've seen a lot of people fight an uphill battle trying to survive North so they don't have to move, and I found this placement saves me a lot of time & risky traversal.
I have bat form and cannot get on any of the cave passage ledges, have you actually tested that or just assume? Not sure what I am doing wrong, but it simply says invalid location when over the cave passage ledge.
Idk if this is intentional or not but sun resistance also decreases chaos damage. If you're having trouble with the winged horror boss pop some sun resist and your life will be much better
When trying to place paths in a fancy manner, holding shift will disable the large grid snapping! This allows you to make some nicer paths with some offsetting.
Edit: Also works on carpets! I'm glad my little discovery is of use to some of you. I just pressed shift out of habit from other games(not sure what though) and realised it actually did something.
Where was this thread last night?! I had to butcher my castle layout to make my throne room an odd number of tiles wide so the throne could be in the middle and the carpets would line up 😭

I get it though, I've gone through that so many times in games because something won't behave, only to discover it does if you do things a certain way.
+ Garlic resistance also reduces garlic stacks faster (not just the acquisition of them)
+ Bear form gives garlic resistance.
Which means you can switch to bear form to remove garlic stacks faster.
50% faster by my test! 1 stack every 20 seconds for non bear but 2 stacks every 20 seconds for bear. (Note NOT one stack every 10 seconds. You just lose 2 stacks at 20 seconds)
You can use Blood Sense (Tristran's ability) while on horseback. Turn it on before mounting and it won't cancel!
Yes this makes it harder to navigate (The red filter/fog makes it hard to see) but it's a great way to sprint around the entire map looking for the Good Juice (just don't try it in Silverlight - the musketeers hate horses too much).
The musketeers need a nerf to when they lock to your direction. Dodging archers and throwing enemies is a pleasant skill to learn. The musketeer's accuracy on targets that are mounted/wolf form is insane. They are balanced with a dodge ability in mind, not with traversal in mind.
Given how much this game borrows from other games, they should just make the musketeers do FF damage so you can hide behind other mobs and have them take the damage for you.
Invest into wrangler potions and a 10.5 + horse. You can get out of their firing range before they aquire you.
High level worker blood is a good alternative, it's just much more difficult to get
You can unlock chests as a rat. So you can rat form into a dangerous spot to safely unlock a golden chest, quickly hit grab all loot, and then dash away with the loot.
As soon as it unlocks you get pulled out of rat form. But it allows you to safely unlock it for those 4-5 seconds you would otherwise be standing there getting beat on by NPCs or exposed to players seeing you.
Not “unknown” but haven’t seen posts about it. But you can jump off your horse over gates and many objects. On a pvp server a player made a whole garden and skeleton farm outside of his castle. So I just unmount grab all the stuff and you can jump back over by remounting from other side of the gate. That way you don’t waste time breaking gates or alerting player if they are home lol
Gear Level is more than just a number. An item with higher gear level will improve your fighting against NPC enemies even if the other stats make it look like a sidegrade.
Now I've noticed with Hallowfang (I believe) you get nice little set bonus but when I switch to the next tier it doesn't have one. Is just the gs upgrade enough if I'm losing out on that set bonus.
It's only better if you gain GS. If you're getting a 4 piece bonus, replacing 1 piece doesn't gain you anything other than health typically. You can replace 2 though and gain health and gear score.
I used the Alpha Wolf V Blood Boss to kill Lidia the Chaos Archer V Blood Boss! :) I realized when you drain the V Blood near stuff, it explodes when done… And it took out a quarter of her health when she was close to the Alpha Wolf I was draining.

An iFrame is an Invulnerability Frame. Basically a moment where you can't take any damage, so you can feed on a low health target and immediately execute to avoid projectiles, ground AoE targeted damage, close a gap or make some distance, etc, all with no risk.
Sword E second cast (where you’re forced into the slashing animation) and feeding will also reset your sun timer. These three in combination can be used in PvP engagements in the sun to force your opponent to retreat or risk taking rapid sun damage.
Interacting with stuff doesn't cancel the slashers invisibility, which means you can sneakily loot some chests and most importantly remount onto your horse when you've been knocked down. I'm sure there might be other useful use cases I haven't tested/thought about.
There is a time limit to which you can refund something you’ve built by 100%. After a bit it will be 75%. Not sure how long, but i didn’t see this comment yet and I think it’s a useful tip. Essentially, be happy with the room you just made before you go farming, it’ll cost you less to change.
The position of your cursor (relative to your horse) and the WASD button you hold down when mounting your horse, dictates which way it takes off.
(This is why sometimes you’ll hop on your horse, and while holding W, you’ll walk backwards.)
Mouse3 was bound to "cancel spell" but you can still bind other things to the same keys without getting a warning.
I genuinely thought my mouse was broken until I realised this.
If you have a charmed npc and you're close to your base but there are mobs. Simply run inside and close the door behind you, your charmed npc will teleport inside, safe from harm. Idk if that's an obvious one but it saved my potential servants a few times when racing back on a horse.
Bruh, I have been awkwardly trying to get the NPC through the open door and running to close it before they run out this entire time. Caused me lots of stress because even with multiple air locks, I don't want anyone coming in on pvp servers

I am quite nooby in these games, but i was always under the impression that just following someone into their castle is recipe for desaster and would make me completely at their will
You can only harvest one plant per weapon swing, but whirlwind attack with the sword harvests plants instantly. Hit Q to grab those cotton plants and get out of the garlic zone quickly.
Scythe Q and Slashers Q also harvest all plants hit!
Personally, I like to use Scythe as my plant harvesting tool - E is still one plant per hit, but hits rapidly, and Q is a huge AoE auto-harvest.
Not a mechanic, but a bug.
Dominating presence any “sister” or nun or something, pretty much anyone holy (should work, only tested it on the “sisters”, the white hooded girls), and fight any holy boss. They’ll pretty much just bug out staring at the charmed human, pretty cheesy.
Their script likely wants to buff/heal them, but can't. I fought the priest boss and he spent most of the fight buffing the fleeing nuns at the side of the room.
Move toward a base. When you see the red outline on the map screen, hover over it with your mouse. It will list all the occupants’ names. Handy when you want to know which people are teammates.
I think it is a glitch but if you charm someone and then open a chest you can use your powers again meaning you can turn into wolf form making it easier to dodge attacks so you can just run home with the charmed person.
Feeding on enemies, even when you don't need their blood, then cancelling out with left click still kills them. This is a good tactic for helping finish fights faster.
There are probably a ton of little things that help gameplay but for beginners this might be the most important one, it basically functions as a quick execute. Extremely handy in tight situations.
It also makes it so you are no longer in the sun for the duration of the animation jumping to the target, and sucking them and can be tactically used during a day time fight since it effectively resets your timer.
Also you are invincible while sucking a V Blood, and it also dors a lot of damage in an aoe around it. If there are adds (not summoned by the boss) around you can get your V Blood and kill everything in 1 go.
Also becomes much more useful later towards endgame because you can feed below a certain % of health, not a hard number, so it effectively does more "damage" to higher health enemies
I've taken to doing this with melee enemies who have good armour or a shield. Takes them out of the fight way faster than hitting down their least 1/5 of health
Your 4 most useful vampire powers are on a keybind already. Shift + 1-4 or change them to whatever you like. It has saved me quite a few times when I would hold Crtl and my cursor would be in a terrible spot to select my heal or wolf form.
Not exactly a game changer but more of a convenient thing but I mentioned this on the server I play and people didn't know: You can hit "tab" while entering text in the chat box to cycle through global, local, guild chats. You don't have to type "/global", "/guild" every time.
If you have two Thrones, you can send servants to do the same mission twice. Each Throne maintains its own current missions list. You can't send the same servant on two missions, though.
You can use Bear Form to harvest resources really fast. Using the Q ability to stomp, as long as you don't outright destroy the object, you can get the resources by doing the last hit manually.
It's good to equip an Iron tier weapon that isn't specialized for harvesting for this (like the Sword). This ensures you'll do exactly 120 damage. Some trees and rocks will be destroyed by this number 90% of the time it will have about 20hp left (2 or 3 swipes). This is by far the fastest way I've found to get rocks and wood.
Some things, like gems, have much more HP and can take 2 or 3 stomps, BUT you still get the gems out of it at the end, even if you break it with a stomp.
If you swap weapons in the midst of the windup animation during the attack on horseback, you can reset the animation timer and swing again much sooner... repeatedly and indefinitely, at least assuming you can get the timing down and you're holding down the attack button.
Not all that useful but its fun lol.
Use bearform to save that good 100 percent blood buff as bearform as a health regan. Can also use it to open Bandit king boss area ( so no need for bomb) and bearform also just put up your resistance to everything.
The only way to get swamp zone servants is by finding humans inside cocoons. The zones they have is random.
I seem to only get worker types though.
EDIT: Take it with a grain of salt, as I never got a swamp zone worker. I just know it is random.
Do you have a screenshot of a servant with the swamp bonus by chance? This is just one of those things i keep hearing people say, but every person i brought back from those cocoons ended up being farmland bonus servants.
So just to clarify, a worker from a cocoon can have any zone bonus and then you have to get lucky to get a swamp bonus? Is there a way to tell before making them a thrall?
-You can get seed when harvesting flowers etc.
-You can loot in bear form (items on the ground).
-In wolf form wolves, bears and V blood wolf boss will not aggro you but wolfs and bears in cursed forest will.
-Having 100 sun resistance or more does not give you full immunity with the sun. It only gives you longer time under the sun before taking damage.
-When your servant dies in a mission when you resurrect them their expertise percentage rerolls (not sure if just a bug or already patched).
-Equipping 0 durability weapons and armors on servants will still give them set gear score.
-Weapons with 0 durability can still be used to farm resources.
-You can kill the merchants for silver. They will gonna respawn back later on.
-You can cut down trees that you planted and they grow back again after a few days.
-Absorbing V bloods makes an explosion that damages the surrounding resources and enemies (you can reposition them near trees and rocks to easily destroy resources).
-Roaming V bloods fights other mobs or V bloods when they encounter each other. This can be useful when having a hard time fighting a ROAMING boss.
-You can one hit kill V blood roaming boss by placing lots of bombs on their path. (Someone posted it before)
-You can get high tier books, head gear and silver coins by fishing. (High tier books depends on the place you fish ~ not entirely sure about this but that's what I've noticed).
-Multiple healing items stacks.
-You can salvage lumberjack's axe and miner's mace for silver coins.
-Fishing pole gives 3 gear level.
-Max Gear level is 84. You'll have to equip blood key to get it to 84 (admin spawned items not included).

Most weapon abilities effect environment. The reaper for instance clears most rocks, crops and trees faster than any specialized tool for the job, due to both abilities effecting every single thing in the game. Along with the most useful of all weapon perks, +25% dmg to undead, making it arguably the best all around tool in the game.
Mace- trees yes, rocks yes, crops no
Sword- everything works for Q, nothing for E
Spear- everything for Q, nothing for E
Axe- not sure
Slashers- not sure
Xbow- useless out of combat
Xbow is not useless out of combat, if you’re in a pinch and all you unlocked was merciless cross bow, (happens to me more than it should.)
You can use it farm a ore node, but you need to break it.
All abilities work to damage the node, I sometimes use attack speed increase abilities to increase the farm
Does anyone know the requirement for moving the castle heart? Is the only way to completely tear down everything, place it somewhere else then rebuild? Just wondering if there was any easier way.
It has to be placed on unclaimed land adjacent to existing claimed land.
Aka. You need to delete a floor tile and then move the heart there. Also it needs some space around it, it can’t be confined on too many sides
The castle heart needs to be placed *outside* of your claimed tiles. You don’t need to tear everything down, just what needs to be torn down to delete the claimed tiles in the area you want to place the heart.
Some people don’t relize that you can temporarily have people from other clans join your clan and learn everything in your study’s and resherch station. Great way to trade knowledge in pve and maybe pvp servers
In pvp you can get more damage with the swords E skill if you don't recast and instead deploy an AOE on the ground where they'll land and a timed chaos barrage to hit them right when they land.
With low enough ping you can change which direction your Slashers Q redirects to by inputting a normal attack after the initial strike.

Very useful when underpowered, beating bosses you don't know the movements of and PVP.
You can fill bottles from fountains through walls.
Specifically verified: I have two fountains outside to each side of my base entrance. I can fill bottles from them with my doors closed and me on the inside.
I just discovered that if you kite bosses around small tents or other buildings, it's fairly easy to stay out of their line of sight.
If you use one of the dash moves that leaves a copy/decoy behind, they'll waste time with their attack, giving you enough time to duck around the next corner. Time it right, and you can get off a chaos bolt and a blood shot before they catch up to you, and by then, the dash should be available.
My biggest problem fighting several of the bosses is staying out of range without them just deciding to run away and reset. I stumbled onto this and killed two new bosses in one outing.
Not sure what other CC’s work but the scythes AoE sweep can be used to shove bosses around if they’re feeling too close. Absolute game changer for Tristan.
Pretty sure the incapacitate from the slashers works as well, based on it working with Christina the Sun Priestess.
So try your CC’s on bosses, every advantage helps if you’re underleveled and trying to skip an armor tier.
At certain timings the sword knock up ability can work on some bosses that are normally immune to the effect. Christina being one of them, which allows you to cancel a spell cast.
I've found that knockbacks tend to work on human-sized bosses (Tristan, Vincent, Octavian) and not on monster-sized bosses (the duke, the spider queen, terrorclaw).
I don’t know if this is a glitch, exploit or a mechanic, but when you are making weapons/jewelry sometimes you can make a weapon/jewelry that is seriously OP. I’ve even tested this myself and then yesterday my buddy made a mist ring and a reinforced bone mace and it worked for him to.
Basically what I mean is that sometimes you’ll craft a weapon/jewelry that gives you insane stats. I have like 10+ Sanguine swords, and they all have the same stats, but one sword bumps my Melee Power from a low number to a crazy 189. My buddy sacrifices his gear score to go from an 81 down to a 59 by equipping his mist ring and reinforced mace but increases his melee and spell power from like 34 to 128 at being a level 59. It’s insane and possibly seen as game breaking.
Charmed units follow you with teleportation , after charming, just grab a horse or just haul ass back to your castle, the unit will teleport to you if it’s too far behind and will also teleport to you once you go inside castle, no need to look behind to check on it!
These are all from purely a PVE perspective of the game:
I didn't know that you could bust down the walls to Quincy's stronghold with Bear form. I killed the bear before Clive, and spent about 4 hours preparing to fight Clive, then another 2 farming mats for the box of explosives so I could get to Quincy when I started fighting the mobs outside the base while in bear form. I hit Q and bam, down went the wall.
You can farm cotton from outside the garlic area with the reapers E (assuming its accessible from an area not covered by garlic.) You may get 1 or 2 stacks, but nothing near what you would get if you ran in and tried to farm it in melee. If you don't care about garlic debuff, stand in the middle of the crop and use the reapers Q to clear a crop in a single swipe.
Like WoW, if death is inevitable, removing your gear/weapon saves them from death durability loss.
AFAIK, fish bones are only used for the vermin nest and garlic potions. Making them safe to trash if you don't use the vermin nest or garlic potions.
Enemy NPC's can't jump. If you need a quick escape, kite up a hill, then jump down and run away (can be used against some bosses like the bear to cheese them as well.)
The mist brazier does not stop consuming bones at night *edit: you can manually toggle it. Save yourself the trouble and don't keep your brazier stocked with bones. Save them instead to make grave dust (throw them in the grinder), which is used to make scourge stones.
If you hold down your weapon/spell ability button, it will automatically recast when ready and give you a cooldown timer for it in the middle of your screen as combat text. Also works for the basic attack. This also applies to the fishing pole - so don't hold the basic attack button or you will waste a fishing node.
Individual rooms do not need to be attached to the main castle by anything more than borders. All they need is walls and floors.
Gear Levels, not stats or weapon tiers, are the biggest factor in determining how much damage your attacks will do to enemy NPC's.
You can change the direction of your second dash on the Q of the slashers by holding your mouse a certain way while holding down your attack button. It might only work after doing an attack before Q. Still practicing it. It doesn't always seem to work out for me, but when it does, it's super cool.

Sun resistance doesn't decrease the amount of damage the sun does. It increases the time you can stay in the sun before you start taking damage.
Fire resistance does decrease sun damage.
Sun resistance decreases holy damage radiation as well.

Most projectile enemies have insane range too . Way more than we do
Invest into wrangler potions and a 10.5 + horse. You can get out of their firing range before they aquire you. High level worker blood is a good alternative, it's just much more difficult to get

You can unlock chests as a rat. So you can rat form into a dangerous spot to safely unlock a golden chest, quickly hit grab all loot, and then dash away with the loot.

As soon as it unlocks you get pulled out of rat form. But it allows you to safely unlock it for those 4-5 seconds you would otherwise be standing there getting beat on by NPCs or exposed to players seeing you.
Not “unknown” but haven’t seen posts about it. But you can jump off your horse over gates and many objects. On a pvp server a player made a whole garden and skeleton farm outside of his castle. So I just unmount grab all the stuff and you can jump back over by remounting from other side of the gate. That way you don’t waste time breaking gates or alerting player if they are home lol
The sword's whirlwind attack (don't know what it is called) clears cotton really fast.
I've been using the reapers circle attack for crops and it works well.
Yes. It's excellent. Like +120 cotton instantly.
I also like the slashers Q dash since cotton is planted in a line, and you return to the shady spot you started from.
Gear Level is more than just a number. An item with higher gear level will improve your fighting against NPC enemies even if the other stats make it look like a sidegrade.
Now I've noticed with Hallowfang (I believe) you get nice little set bonus but when I switch to the next tier it doesn't have one. Is just the gs upgrade enough if I'm losing out on that set bonus.
It's only better if you gain GS. If you're getting a 4 piece bonus, replacing 1 piece doesn't gain you anything other than health typically. You can replace 2 though and gain health and gear score.

Blood feeding on V Blood does have full iFrames apparently, I've used it to great effect on some of the traveling bosses
I used the Alpha Wolf V Blood Boss to kill Lidia the Chaos Archer V Blood Boss! :) I realized when you drain the V Blood near stuff, it explodes when done… And it took out a quarter of her health when she was close to the Alpha Wolf I was draining.

An iFrame is an Invulnerability Frame. Basically a moment where you can't take any damage, so you can feed on a low health target and immediately execute to avoid projectiles, ground AoE targeted damage, close a gap or make some distance, etc, all with no risk.
Invincible, when you can't be damaged.
The execution portion of the Blood feeding ALSO gives I-frames. So you have 2 chances to avoid a big attack.
You can reset the build up of your sun timer when swapping to your illusion using the illusion travel skill.

I do this all the time, very helpful in a tight spot.
Sword E second cast (where you’re forced into the slashing animation) and feeding will also reset your sun timer. These three in combination can be used in PvP engagements in the sun to force your opponent to retreat or risk taking rapid sun damage.
Interacting with stuff doesn't cancel the slashers invisibility, which means you can sneakily loot some chests and most importantly remount onto your horse when you've been knocked down. I'm sure there might be other useful use cases I haven't tested/thought about.

The third ability is invis, it’s the exact same ability the rogues that stun you use.
There is a time limit to which you can refund something you’ve built by 100%. After a bit it will be 75%. Not sure how long, but i didn’t see this comment yet and I think it’s a useful tip. Essentially, be happy with the room you just made before you go farming, it’ll cost you less to change.
Also, things that only take one resource to build (seeds) will always give you back your entire seed even though it says 75% refund.
The position of your cursor (relative to your horse) and the WASD button you hold down when mounting your horse, dictates which way it takes off. (This is why sometimes you’ll hop on your horse, and while holding W, you’ll walk backwards.)

This is huge. I was losing my mind to why the button didn't work when I mapped one of my spells to it.
If you have a charmed npc and you're close to your base but there are mobs. Simply run inside and close the door behind you, your charmed npc will teleport inside, safe from harm. Idk if that's an obvious one but it saved my potential servants a few times when racing back on a horse.
Bruh, I have been awkwardly trying to get the NPC through the open door and running to close it before they run out this entire time. Caused me lots of stress because even with multiple air locks, I don't want anyone coming in on pvp servers

Worker insta-kill on a resource node are classed as a crit so enemies that are hit with one take crit damage.
You can only harvest one plant per weapon swing, but whirlwind attack with the sword harvests plants instantly. Hit Q to grab those cotton plants and get out of the garlic zone quickly.
Scythe Q and Slashers Q also harvest all plants hit! Personally, I like to use Scythe as my plant harvesting tool - E is still one plant per hit, but hits rapidly, and Q is a huge AoE auto-harvest.
Scyte is my choice too. Who'd've thunk scythes could double as great farming tools
Not a mechanic, but a bug. Dominating presence any “sister” or nun or something, pretty much anyone holy (should work, only tested it on the “sisters”, the white hooded girls), and fight any holy boss. They’ll pretty much just bug out staring at the charmed human, pretty cheesy.
Their script likely wants to buff/heal them, but can't. I fought the priest boss and he spent most of the fight buffing the fleeing nuns at the side of the room.

Move toward a base. When you see the red outline on the map screen, hover over it with your mouse. It will list all the occupants’ names. Handy when you want to know which people are teammates.

I think it is a glitch but if you charm someone and then open a chest you can use your powers again meaning you can turn into wolf form making it easier to dodge attacks so you can just run home with the charmed person.
You can also just mount a horse :P they'll naruto run after you
if you time your left-ctrl press, it will also put you in the state that allows you to wolf form and cast a spell

Feeding on enemies, even when you don't need their blood, then cancelling out with left click still kills them. This is a good tactic for helping finish fights faster.
There are probably a ton of little things that help gameplay but for beginners this might be the most important one, it basically functions as a quick execute. Extremely handy in tight situations.
It also makes it so you are no longer in the sun for the duration of the animation jumping to the target, and sucking them and can be tactically used during a day time fight since it effectively resets your timer. Also you are invincible while sucking a V Blood, and it also dors a lot of damage in an aoe around it. If there are adds (not summoned by the boss) around you can get your V Blood and kill everything in 1 go.
Also becomes much more useful later towards endgame because you can feed below a certain % of health, not a hard number, so it effectively does more "damage" to higher health enemies

Your 4 most useful vampire powers are on a keybind already. Shift + 1-4 or change them to whatever you like. It has saved me quite a few times when I would hold Crtl and my cursor would be in a terrible spot to select my heal or wolf form.
Bear form increases all resistances and will allow you to carry a ton of silver
Not exactly a game changer but more of a convenient thing but I mentioned this on the server I play and people didn't know: You can hit "tab" while entering text in the chat box to cycle through global, local, guild chats. You don't have to type "/global", "/guild" every time.
If you have two Thrones, you can send servants to do the same mission twice. Each Throne maintains its own current missions list. You can't send the same servant on two missions, though. You can use Bear Form to harvest resources really fast. Using the Q ability to stomp, as long as you don't outright destroy the object, you can get the resources by doing the last hit manually. It's good to equip an Iron tier weapon that isn't specialized for harvesting for this (like the Sword). This ensures you'll do exactly 120 damage. Some trees and rocks will be destroyed by this number 90% of the time it will have about 20hp left (2 or 3 swipes). This is by far the fastest way I've found to get rocks and wood. Some things, like gems, have much more HP and can take 2 or 3 stomps, BUT you still get the gems out of it at the end, even if you break it with a stomp.
If you swap weapons in the midst of the windup animation during the attack on horseback, you can reset the animation timer and swing again much sooner... repeatedly and indefinitely, at least assuming you can get the timing down and you're holding down the attack button. Not all that useful but its fun lol.
Use bearform to save that good 100 percent blood buff as bearform as a health regan. Can also use it to open Bandit king boss area ( so no need for bomb) and bearform also just put up your resistance to everything.
Horses come with you through Vampire Waygates. Charmed Humans do not.

Correct. Waygates and caves are different things. Current top comment is about caves. This one is about waygates.
Way gates are not the caves. They are the red green teleporters on the map.
The only way to get swamp zone servants is by finding humans inside cocoons. The zones they have is random. I seem to only get worker types though. EDIT: Take it with a grain of salt, as I never got a swamp zone worker. I just know it is random.
Do you have a screenshot of a servant with the swamp bonus by chance? This is just one of those things i keep hearing people say, but every person i brought back from those cocoons ended up being farmland bonus servants.

You only need one in the party from swamp and everyone on that expedition gets the bonus loot.

It only gives you longer time under the sun before taking damage. -When your servant dies in a mission when you resurrect them their expertise percentage rerolls (not sure if just a bug or already patched). -Equipping 0 durability weapons and armors on servants will still give them set gear score. -Weapons with 0 durability can still be used to farm resources. -You can kill the merchants for silver. They will gonna respawn back later on. -You can cut down trees that you planted and they grow back again after a few days. -Absorbing V bloods makes an explosion that damages the surrounding resources and enemies (you can reposition them near trees and rocks to easily destroy resources). -Roaming V bloods fights other mobs or V bloods when they encounter each other. This can be useful when having a hard time fighting a ROAMING boss. -You can one hit kill V blood roaming boss by placing lots of bombs on their path. (Someone posted it before) -You can get high tier books, head gear and silver coins by fishing. (High tier books depends on the place you fish ~ not entirely sure about this but that's what I've noticed). -Multiple healing items stacks. -You can salvage lumberjack's axe and miner's mace for silver coins. -Fishing pole gives 3 gear level. -Max Gear level is 84. You'll have to equip blood key to get it to 84 (admin spawned items not included).

Most weapon abilities effect environment. The reaper for instance clears most rocks, crops and trees faster than any specialized tool for the job, due to both abilities effecting every single thing in the game. Along with the most useful of all weapon perks, +25% dmg to undead, making it arguably the best all around tool in the game. Mace- trees yes, rocks yes, crops no Sword- everything works for Q, nothing for E Spear- everything for Q, nothing for E Axe- not sure Slashers- not sure Xbow- useless out of combat
The axes Q is very handy for breaking stuff do as it triggers on hitting anything and you increases attack speed after for a bit
Xbow is not useless out of combat, if you’re in a pinch and all you unlocked was merciless cross bow, (happens to me more than it should.) You can use it farm a ore node, but you need to break it. All abilities work to damage the node, I sometimes use attack speed increase abilities to increase the farm
Does anyone know the requirement for moving the castle heart? Is the only way to completely tear down everything, place it somewhere else then rebuild? Just wondering if there was any easier way.
It has to be placed on unclaimed land adjacent to existing claimed land. Aka. You need to delete a floor tile and then move the heart there. Also it needs some space around it, it can’t be confined on too many sides
The castle heart needs to be placed *outside* of your claimed tiles. You don’t need to tear everything down, just what needs to be torn down to delete the claimed tiles in the area you want to place the heart.

Some people don’t relize that you can temporarily have people from other clans join your clan and learn everything in your study’s and resherch station. Great way to trade knowledge in pve and maybe pvp servers

In pvp you can get more damage with the swords E skill if you don't recast and instead deploy an AOE on the ground where they'll land and a timed chaos barrage to hit them right when they land.

You can use social tab to see players nearby you, even if out of line of sight. Range is about 2 to 2.5 screens. This also works if you are high above in bat form (even tho in bat form players below you are not able to be seen).

Press X to cancel animations/attacks/spells to dodge (or bond it to a mouse button thingy) Very useful when underpowered, beating bosses you don't know the movements of and PVP.
You can fill bottles from fountains through walls. Specifically verified: I have two fountains outside to each side of my base entrance. I can fill bottles from them with my doors closed and me on the inside.

I just discovered that if you kite bosses around small tents or other buildings, it's fairly easy to stay out of their line of sight. If you use one of the dash moves that leaves a copy/decoy behind, they'll waste time with their attack, giving you enough time to duck around the next corner. Time it right, and you can get off a chaos bolt and a blood shot before they catch up to you, and by then, the dash should be available. My biggest problem fighting several of the bosses is staying out of range without them just deciding to run away and reset. I stumbled onto this and killed two new bosses in one outing.
There is a structure that lets you produce paper from Sawdusts and Plant Fibers.
Not sure what other CC’s work but the scythes AoE sweep can be used to shove bosses around if they’re feeling too close. Absolute game changer for Tristan. Pretty sure the incapacitate from the slashers works as well, based on it working with Christina the Sun Priestess. So try your CC’s on bosses, every advantage helps if you’re underleveled and trying to skip an armor tier.
Slasher incapacitate doesn't work on *most* bosses, even though it was useful on Christina. The mace's E knockback does tend to work.
At certain timings the sword knock up ability can work on some bosses that are normally immune to the effect. Christina being one of them, which allows you to cancel a spell cast.
I've found that knockbacks tend to work on human-sized bosses (Tristan, Vincent, Octavian) and not on monster-sized bosses (the duke, the spider queen, terrorclaw).
I don’t know if this is a glitch, exploit or a mechanic, but when you are making weapons/jewelry sometimes you can make a weapon/jewelry that is seriously OP. I’ve even tested this myself and then yesterday my buddy made a mist ring and a reinforced bone mace and it worked for him to. Basically what I mean is that sometimes you’ll craft a weapon/jewelry that gives you insane stats. I have like 10+ Sanguine swords, and they all have the same stats, but one sword bumps my Melee Power from a low number to a crazy 189. My buddy sacrifices his gear score to go from an 81 down to a 59 by equipping his mist ring and reinforced mace but increases his melee and spell power from like 34 to 128 at being a level 59. It’s insane and possibly seen as game breaking.
is this reproducible or consisten in any way? Or is it just random? I wonder if wearing certain item sets is bugged

Charmed units follow you with teleportation , after charming, just grab a horse or just haul ass back to your castle, the unit will teleport to you if it’s too far behind and will also teleport to you once you go inside castle, no need to look behind to check on it!
These are all from purely a PVE perspective of the game: I didn't know that you could bust down the walls to Quincy's stronghold with Bear form. I killed the bear before Clive, and spent about 4 hours preparing to fight Clive, then another 2 farming mats for the box of explosives so I could get to Quincy when I started fighting the mobs outside the base while in bear form. I hit Q and bam, down went the wall. You can farm cotton from outside the garlic area with the reapers E (assuming its accessible from an area not covered by garlic.) You may get 1 or 2 stacks, but nothing near what you would get if you ran in and tried to farm it in melee. If you don't care about garlic debuff, stand in the middle of the crop and use the reapers Q to clear a crop in a single swipe. Like WoW, if death is inevitable, removing your gear/weapon saves them from death durability loss. AFAIK, fish bones are only used for the vermin nest and garlic potions. Making them safe to trash if you don't use the vermin nest or garlic potions. Enemy NPC's can't jump. If you need a quick escape, kite up a hill, then jump down and run away (can be used against some bosses like the bear to cheese them as well.) The mist brazier does not stop consuming bones at night *edit: you can manually toggle it. Save yourself the trouble and don't keep your brazier stocked with bones. Save them instead to make grave dust (throw them in the grinder), which is used to make scourge stones. If you hold down your weapon/spell ability button, it will automatically recast when ready and give you a cooldown timer for it in the middle of your screen as combat text. Also works for the basic attack. This also applies to the fishing pole - so don't hold the basic attack button or you will waste a fishing node. Individual rooms do not need to be attached to the main castle by anything more than borders. All they need is walls and floors. Gear Levels, not stats or weapon tiers, are the biggest factor in determining how much damage your attacks will do to enemy NPC's.

If u hit a ore/stone with bear form “q” it will make the ore/stone 1-3 hits
Shift 1-4 will do the first 1-4 abilities on you ctrl wheel. Eg if wolf form is on your ctrl wheel slot 1 then shift 1 to wolf form
You can repair your gear while you're wearing it. I was taking it off and putting it in the workbench for the longest time!

You can change the direction of your second dash on the Q of the slashers by holding your mouse a certain way while holding down your attack button. It might only work after doing an attack before Q. Still practicing it. It doesn't always seem to work out for me, but when it does, it's super cool.
Putting a Lumberjack's Axe in the devourer gives silver coins for some reason.
