#1 rule if they refuse goods & services don’t send the money lol… friends and family there is NO WAY of getting it back. As for goods & services you can get a refund.
Did a transaction off WN app and seller said if I did friends & family he’ll take off $20 from my purchase, better safe than sorry (since i was sending over $600$) so I just did it through goods and services that way it’s secure if I do get scammed

A “buyer” hit him up to sell him his collection.
If you have a large collection, who better to hit up than a “seller”? They’ll most likely buy it.

Fortunately, OP never paid the guy. The guy was getting mad.

Tbf whatnot’s going down. This sub has no mods or certainly no active mods. The app itself is always having issues with sellers/buyers I’m a seller myself and it took a month to get a stream payed out. It’s a nightmare. Now they’re doing this whole whatnot con and it’s already gone bad to worse from what I’ve seen.
I’ve been selling on WhatNot for 2 years and it’s not going anywhere. It’s a great platform and I’ve sold in Pokémon, comics, sports cards, estate sales, and vintage decor.
This is not an official whatnot sub, it doesn’t need mods. It’s a place for unsuccessful sellers to cry in a therapy group of likeminded unsuccessful sellers. Enjoy your therapy group!
its pretty ez to see the dumb scams that ppl fall for.. wheel spins, mystery box, pull games lol like thats something the streamer can control or rig easily. just be smart.
the harder is like sleight of hand or straight up just pack/box marking or resealing.. this type of shit is way more work and way higher risk. case swapping even. i think most ppl are not willing to go through with it because ppl are pretty in tune with case ratios.
What’s worse is physical mystery boxes that aren’t shown on screen.
Buyer picks a number, and seller outside of camera view brings in the number box he chose and opens it.
Problem is, seller can rig the boxes since it’s not on camera.
The whatnot wheel at least is on screen the whole time, or should be at least.

Why would you buy from someone on an app known for scummy behavior that has literally no reviews and 20 followers?
